There's a huge misconception when it comes to bodybuilding!
Bodybuilders aren't strong in the sense of power. Yes, compared to an average person, there is a difference, but if you compare them to those who participate in the World's Strongest Man competitions, there's just no contest. Bodybuilders define their muscular structure, but they are not as powerful as they 'might look.' Deception. That's all it is. Furthermore, muscles build differently. A martial artist has muscle build up that allows him/her to move in that specific way. A bodybuilder moves in different ways. The bodybuilder wouldn't be able to kick high as his/her muscle structure wouldn't allow for that - same goes for arm movements (especially when it comes to swiftness of motion). Bodybuilders aren't fighters. Bodybuilders are sculpted humans. In general terms, bodybuilders are art sculptures of the human anatomy, defining practically all of the muscle groups. However, it is the shape of the muscle itself that permits for precise movement. The martial artist would run circles around bodybuilder who would plain and simply be confused as to what to do - leap forward randomly hoping to grab a hold of a limb or to sit back and be defeated.
