There would be too many restrictions if this became the official site. For one thing, anyone who posted a review of one of his films that didn't praise the film to the skies would likely be banned.

Best leave things as they are. If they want to reopen the official site, good. Maybe they'll do a better job of posting news about Steven's activities than what we're doing here, the way we get bits and pieces of news from all sorts of sources (like our wonderful superspy suziwong, many blessings be upon her head). But for the ability to say what we think from a constructively critical point of view, there we wouldn't be allowed to. Here, we can.

Trinity, I agree with 100%......This is my "home"
now, lthough I would visit from time to time if
they ever reopenend the the official one....
I remember the OSS site much too well :(

I am with you Trinity, that I will be there some, but not as much as here. It is home for so many of us. It's because of Craig that some of us are so close here, and I can't think of going anywhere else.

Probably for the same reason he's done the Mountain Dew commercial and is looking to get back on the big screen, even if it's in a comedy - he's trying to broaden his fan base, put himself back in that position where his fans will turn out by the thousands if he shows up. In other words, bringing back the website is part of his "comeback", his bid to get out of straight-to-video hell.

Sorry to be cynical about this. It's just the timing seems a bit suspicious, is all.

I would, of course, take a look at the official site - but this site, as others have said, is "home".

Knowing the type of rubbish people Steven surrounds himself with, I doubt that if they pooled their brains there would be enough to set up a web site to the calibre of this one. Has anyone else noticed that the two web addresses on the back of the crystal Cave lead to no where? How odd to put dud web addresses on a newly released CD.

sorry I didn't understand this part. They put web address on CD cover "stevenseagal.com" !!! Stevenseagal.com domain name is still going on !! and they will open StevenSeagal.com again !!!
Am I wrong or Am I misunderstood ??

You are so right, Res!! That would be great!!
But. alas, I don't believe they'll do that!
Anyone that would take well over a year and
a half to put a site on-line cannot be too bright!!

I don't mean this to be facetious or sarcastic (believe it or not :D), but I have a question for you members who were at the original official site.

Was there anything enjoyable about the place?

By that, I mean in the almost year I've been here, I've heard nothing but negative things about it. How chaotic it was, how there was no moderation at all after a point, how things got ugly as people posted whatever they chose, including death threats and porn, and declared out-and-out war; things I've heard from almost everyone who was there originally.

So, were there any good points about it? Besides some of the members you became friends with, who fortunately eventually found each other again at this place.

I know this place plays a different role in each member's life, but this forum and its members have obviously had an impact on all of our lives to a certain degree.

Thanks solely to one person: Craig.
That's quite amazing, don't you think?

Sorry Suzi, Not sure what you are asking? What i said was that there are two web addresses on the back of the CD which, I would assume (as the CD is just out) would be up to date and active. However having tried to log into both of them, I find they are not active. I find it odd to put useless web site addresses on something, and wonder why they did this? Does this answer your question?

It was a great site and I met a lot of wonderful
people there. We had great times although we
didn't get any information like we do here!!
We, also, got a lot of weirdos.....Wesley McClaren,
a Mr. Opinion, no one was ever really sure whether
we had one or two! There were several others as well!!
But it finally got to be a drudgery to even log-on!!
That plus no moderators!! No one cared, they just put
it up there and walked off!! You cannot imagine the
kind of filth that we logged-on to every day!!
If it hadn't been for Craig I probably wouldn't even be
on-line today!!
That's why he has my greatest thanks and admiration!
I'd be here, moderator or not!!

Hopefully, they are working on both sites right now, or perhaps not...
