Right now the CDC is issuing a protocol for immunizing people diplaced people.

My disaster experienced medical colleagues have been discussing that it would be best wisdom for everone to prepare themselves for self defense for future disasters which we believe will come..

President Bush doesn’t believe in global warning and insists that the increased number and severity of global climatic is simply a matter of chance. We here on the ground in NO believe that we have entered a period of global weather instability during which there will be more bad events and it’s common sense to prepare whether you are single living alone or as a family..

There are several things you can do because regardless or where you live, trouble can come to you.

1. Buy a First Aid manual and read it. The Red Cross offers free Basic First Aid in most Western countries. Take one.
2. Update you family’s (including all pets) immunizations and keep an up to date list of your prescription medications. Put together a good First Aid Kit.
Hepatitis A and B shots are expensive but are really good advice which is why almost all medical pros have gotten them.
3. Have the Fire department assess your home to suggest defensive changes you may need.
4. Stock up on a 3 week supply of basic dried and canned foods and water containers. Put all foods in sealed containers.
5. Buy some iodine or water purification tablets. If needed you can filter unknown water through coffee filters three times and then add a chemical to purify it.
Rent a safe deposit box for important documents and viseotape of your home and valuables.

Just some suggestions. But then who would listen to us just because we have dealt with this kind of trouble too often lately..
