I love to give!
This is what I have my mom, it is two pretty gowns, I loved the packaging!
She has a bad hand and does not cook like she did at one time! So I bought these little individual pie slice containers and I always make her favorite pies!
German Chocolate, and we cut and freeze so she can enjoy for awhile! And if she thinks my brother or sister's from out of town are coming she will move everything in her freezer and hide her pie slice's in the back!

Don't forget the elderly on Mother's Day!
After visiting with our mother's one year we stopped off at the store, I ran into a neighbor's daughter and ask how was her mother "we use to call her Old Lady Jones" she said she was fine and was in a rest home! I asked her which one maybe I would drop by she was so rude "I don't know why she want know you"
but she did tell me where!
Apparently we were still in the honeymoon stage because I "asked" my husband if we could go by! We did!
I walked in her room and said " Hey Mrs. Jones, How are You, Do you remember me" and she said yes you are "Lolli"! I was so happy! I went to make her happy and she is the one who made my day!
I asked if she needed anything she said "yes do you have pencil and paper" and she called out a list, Kleenex, Vicks vapor rub, Luden's wild cherry cough drops! I bet I didn't spend 10 dollars! But when I returned you would have thought I had spend 500!
It doesn't take alot to make someone's day special or for someone to make your day special!
And it doesn't have to be Mother's Day every day can be special!

Thanks Lollipop for starting this thread as you know i dont have an mum (living) that is i will taking an nice bunch of her favourite flowers(Carnations) to her grave on that sunday..she has been gone an while now but i still miss her ..some days more then others cant wait one day to see her again ..i hope..iam sure your mum will love her gift..and like you Lollipop i love jewellery..mainly rings ..

This is a nice thread, Lollipop. I'm sure your mother will love the nightgowns--which do make a very pretty package like that. I wouldn't want to take them out. 
And those are nice earrings for your mother-in-law. My mother would love those and the matching necklace. Another QVC special?
And I really like that necklace you've picked out for yourself! It's very delicate looking, quite pretty.
Make sure you tell your sons it's from them when you order it.

Chances are I'll probably forget about mother's day until the day before. I really don't know what to get for my mother. It's usually flowers.

The gowns are from QVC and the necklace I am getting is from QVC!
The pendant and earrings came from a website I found "Heavenly Treasures"
they have the pretties jewelry!! The earrings were more than I usually spend on Mother's Day! But his Mother love's nice things and her birthday is in June, I told her I wasn't trying to be cheap but what I wanted to give her for Mother's Day was more, could it be a combined gift because her Birthday is in June!! She was excited and said Yes!!! She is nice like that! And she know's the price of real gold and black onyx!
