Seagal & Van Damme????

Hmmm.........there was a story here a while ago on TV about Seagal and Ray Sefu(K1 fighter) doing a movie together, was also going to involve another martialarts action star, never said who. They were going to make a press release around end of December,but so far nothing.
Another good guy-bad guy flick, Seagal as a martial arts instructor teaching wayward kids in the Bronx, and Sefu as a baddie.
Ray Sefu stated he had submitted several scripts, but this was the one Seagal liked best.
Perhaps something to do with that, or just more rumour and conjecture, hopefully another movie!!

Yep, I saw this too J but did'nt think too much of it to make mention of it here. I really cant believe the two of them would be together in a room discussing making a movie together. Who knows though, with the way Seagal has been signing on to make so many movies as of late.. I'd prefer them together as partners though if they did a movie together. I dont think Seagal has much respect for Van Damms martial arts abilities..

I have enjoyed many of Van Damm's movies
but he has always struck me more of a ballet
artist than a Martial Arts type performer. His "moves"
are usually well choreographed but no Martial Arts
"abilities" are shown outside a sound stage. While
Steven's abilities are very well documented all
over the world!

Probably you don't know this, but, Van Damme was here in Brazil, to talk about his movie that was being released, it was about one year ago if I'm not mistaken, and he came to a TV program, oh boy, he was tottaly idiot.... he immitated, that's right !!! HE IMMITATED Seagal, and Stallone, I don't like to remember that scene... while he was immitating Seagal, he was walking with his hands behind, like a monkey walking...... he shouldn't do that, it shows that he doesn't respect the other actors.

Steven is very accomplished in his art...He should be highly respected by all the MA stars...If they don't respect his talent they are more brainless than I thought! I think jealousy of Steven is sooo rampant it's not EVEN funny...They all wish they were him, I bet! Looks that way to me...He's amazing, baby!

Do you know Van Damme? Nobody believes in Seagal's abilities anymore, so let's not bash other MA. I'm not VD's biggest fan, but he made alot of money regardless of his true MA ability.

All those who doubt Seagal's abilities would not want to test him. Seagal's martial arts background and ability is beyond question-thats not even a point even the dumbest of movie critics would question unless you take their opinion over many of the best and most accomplished martial artists and masters around. Seagal is one of the foremost accomplised aikido experts in the world and not just North America..Those who know him best and have trained with him personally even to this day see him as what he is-one of the best martial arts(especially aikido) teachers around who is proficient in several martial arts and swords..If they dont believe in his ability they dont believe in aikido or jitsu or the opinions of some of the greatest martial artists around..
Your last point was correct-VD made a lot of money regardless of his martial arts abilities(he is a good martial arts actor-actor is the key word there).

If there is no monitary value then it doesn't exist for you. I'm sorry for you because you are missing so very much! There are countless things in this world that cannot be measured on a monitary scale.

Why wouldn't he? Is Seagal above the law? (pardon the pun) Seagal wouldn't kill anyone unless he wants a brand new court case and a murder charge.
You may want to remember this little fact, people with MA training, special forces training, police training are not judged like normal people in self defense murder or assult cases because they are trained to hurt and or kill. An every day joe kills a car jacker he'll probably get off, an ex Navy Seal kills the same car jacker he'll probably be in hot water because his trained reflex is to kill unlike the normal guy who doesn't go into the fight ready to kill.

If "one" gets up in a man's face, the man can try to
walk away. If this "one" is not only in the man's face
but also takes a swing at him, the man has a right to
defend himself, specially trained or not.
What you say about Martial Artists, Special Forces,
Police and others being held to a much high standard,
as far as their self-defense abilities are concerned,
is right!
It is sad indeed but there are many in this world that
believe the only way to settle an argument is with their
fists. Then, of course, we have the idiots that believe the
only way is with guns, knives, etc.
