You're very fortunate to have heard it from your own children. :)
If they did it now, though, maybe you'd tell them to keep it down, eh? :D

But whether from your own children or not, it's still a beautiful sound. :)

That it is!! :)

Usually I keep up pretty well, but here I think I'm lost. :D
Wishing "what" were a sword?
Are you in the wrong thread, or am I? :D

In my first post: The greatest thing in life for me, today would be if I had a magic wand and could wave at
all of us to make sure we knew "you don't have to meet anyone standards but your own, each of us have our own talents and beauty" and "you do not need the approval of other's to love yourself"!!!

My second one: But we all know how moody I am, tomorrow I will be wishing it were a sword so I could chop off a few heads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

using wand as magic to spread good cheer!

the second one I said I am moody and subect to change moods fast, and tomorrow I woud wish the wand a sword, because I would probable be in a different mood, and some heads may role! :D :D

Watching my children grow. They grow up so fast. Before I know it they will be flying away. A time to treasure....is NOW!!!

This just reminded me of an old song, Julie. Not sure if you know it, but being an oldies fan, I remember it well. It was sung by Bobbie Goldsboro and was called, "Watching Scotty Grow." :)

Bet Lollipop knows it! :D

Can't say as if I have heard of the song...maybe if I heard it first. How far back does the song go in time???? (am I going to be putting a age range on you for asking? :) )

Oh, no age range. :) I'm not nearly as old as many of the "oldies" songs I love. I keep saying, I was born in the wrong decade. :D Just a personal preference, I guess. :indiffere

Bobby Goldsboro had a very unique voice. It's from 1971, according to a website I found. It was a pretty song. Hard to appreciate it as much without hearing it, but I was just reminded of the lyrics when you spoke so lovingly about your children. :)

Since this is in the Further Off-Topic forum, I guess it's not too off topic. :D

Watching Scotty Grow
Bobby Goldsboro

There he sits with a pen and a yellow pad,
What a handsome lad, that's my boy,
BRLFQ spells mom and dad,
But that ain't too bad, that's my boy.

You can have your TV and your nightclubs,
And you can have your drive-in picture show,
I'll stay here with my little man near, we'll listen to the radio,
Biding my time and watching Scotty grow.

Making a castle out of building blocks,
And a cardboard box, that's my boy,
Mickey Mouse says it's thirteen o'clock,
Well that's quite a shock! That's my boy.

In four short years I've gone from rags to riches,
And what I did before that I don't know,
So let it rain on my windowpane, I got my own rainbow,
And we're sitting here shining watching Scotty grow.

Riding on daddy's shoudlers off to bed,
Old sleepy head, that's my boy,
Got to have a drink of water and a story read,
A teddy bear named Fred, that's my boy.

What's that you say momma, come on and keep you feet warm?
Well save me a place, I'll be there in a minute or so,
I'll think I'll stay right here and say a little prayer before I go,
Me and God watching Scotty grow.

Me and God are watching Scotty grow.

I like that! :)

I still don't recognize the song but I like it.:)

My cubs like making "forts" out of boxes or blankets with couch cushions, card tables etc.
....leaving Barbies, match box cars, back packs, etc. lying around. Use a coat hanger?!...naaaa....no matter how many times I tell them to hang up their coats...there will be at least one still on a chair. Aaahhhhh!!!!

Everything Is Beautiful
Ray Stevens
- written by Ray Stevens

Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world
Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world

Everything is beautiful in its' own way
Like a starry summer night or a snow covered winter's day
Everybody's beautiful in their own way
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find a way

There is none so blind as he who will not see
Ww must not close our minds, we must let our thought be free
For every hour that passes by, you know the world gets a little bit older
It's time to realize that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder

Everything is beautiful in its' own way
Like a starry summer night or a snow covered winter's day
Ah, sing it children
Everybody's beautiful in their own way
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find a way

We shouldn't care about the length of his hair or the color of his skin
Don't worry about what shows from without but the love that lives within
We're gonna get it all together now and everything gonna work out fine
Just take a little time to look on the good side my friend
And straighten it out in your mind

Everything is beautiful in its' own way
Like a starry summer night or a snow covered winter's day
Everybody's beautiful in their own way
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find a way

What a terrific experience that must have been, Deka, seeing them in their natural habitat. :) You're quite lucky, I think, to have been in the right place at the right time.

I'm with you. I don't understand how anyone could do that to them. :( And the fact that some governments have been allowing a certain amount is even worse.
