Im bad!
Halloween is my favourite horror series. It was the first movie of its kind and for that it should be respected.

Maximum Overdrive. I guess not really a slasher, but the mechanical things did do some pretty bloody damage. And the soundtrack was great as well. I didn't go up to a vending machine for an entire summer after I saw that movie.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the original, not the remake. "The saw is family." Tee-hee!

And anything with Bruce Campbell! He cracks me up.

Chainsaws

Only the original...
This story is an account the tragedy that befell four youths, in particular Sally Hardesty and her invalid brother Franklin. It is all the more tragic in that they were young. But had they lived very, very long lives, they could not have imagined, nor would they have wished to see, as much of the mad and macabre as they were to see that day. For them, an idyllic summer afternoon became one of the worst and most grisly nightmares in the annals of American history. It was the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE!

That's the intro to the film as best I can remember it. It's definitely the finest horror film ever made! If you haven't seen this "originator of modern horror," you should check it out. I've only seen it like 1000 times, almost as much as I've watched any of Seagal's movies. Directed by Tobe Hooper.

Not far behind this as best horror films are The Exorcist, Re-Animator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Scream, Evil Dead II, and Psycho. The Ring was also really scary!
What a great new thread!

Halloween the first scared the hell out of me!! I lived in an apartment building and worked second shift from 4pm to 1am, I was the only person in the building all day! I was scared until I moved!
Since that I don't watch horror/slasher! I am a chicken!!

Evid Dead (the 3 ones) and The Exorcist are, for me the scariest ones. Same if they are not so scary, the Stephen King movies are very good as well, particularly 'It' and 'Rose Red' :D

I like the 2 first Amityville. And i also enjoyed reading the book in the middle of the night :D
Maybe ill take a look at the new one even if i don't like remakes.

I do remember the little song in freddy. It was really well found.

As soon as you have seen the ring 2, tell me if it's a good movie. The 1st one was not bad. :)

Hi Pantera,

Can't you see I'm easily bothered by persistence? "Walk" is a pretty easy song to play, at least besides the solo part. I love that band!!!
