I heard on a local am/fm station that Jean-Claude is a self proclaimed super hero for his wife...in the sack.
While scouring locations for his next movie he took time out to boast of his impressive work out schedule which is 3hrs a day then when he gets home is still able to "perform" every day for his much satisfied wife who also claims he is nothing short of a real life super hero. The radio announcer made a sarcastic comment saying his physical prowess must make up for a lack of mental prowess.

Is that the movie Lil Dragon,Kumite,sounds like a blood sport rehash,if it is beta be beefed up.I like him in these movies like the quest and AWOL(lion heart,wrong bet)

Actually I believe Van Damme is working very hard on this film, he has hired many martial art masters and champions, I think this will be one of his best films.

The critics will never give him a fair go.Its up to fans like us to know if the movie rocks then the critics won't have much choice.He needs to minimize romance incl scenes of male romance like from 'in hell' and concentrate on close ups, slo mo, varied kumite and less of his patented 'many knuckled sandwiches' biffo.The bigger more intimidating the opponent followed by an outstanding varied kumite is what will make this movie

I agree. Although I do not think he is that good of a martial artist, he has popularized the Martial Arts and has indeed made some good movies and for that I will always be a fan of his.

Right! He's not a very good martial artist but he has had some good films like replicant and double impact etc. And he does deserve more credit i think many ppl see him as a joke which is sad!

Yes he deserves more credit for popularizing the Martial Arts which is great.

He has made some very classic Martial Art movie such as:

Bloodsport
Kickboxer
Double Impact
Death Warrant
Lionheart
Universal Soldier
Timecop

are all fantastic movies!
