Well, I happen to like political intrigue so I had no problem with the plot, and therefore, I'm a lot more forgiving of The Foreigner than many people here. I also liked seeing Steven in a more cerebral, less action role, because it proved to me, at least, that he doesn't need every scene to be a fight scene in order for him to perform.
While I love seeing Steven "in action", I am not committed to seeing him do only action movies, which I think is the main complaint about The Foreigner, that there's not enough action in it. I only wish that it hadn't been Oblowitz directing, and that it hadn't been such a low budget project they couldn't get any decent actors to play opposite him.
