Isn't it funny how so many of us still watch his movies on TV, even though we have the DVDs and know they're going to be chopped up for content and commercials. :D It was on USA this past weekend and I enjoyed it all over again.

Have fun, Suzi! ;)

Yeah...

I still like to watch them on tv.
But you know something...they enhance the sound for tv, and also for radio (music) that's why they sound so much better. Some people notice...others don't.

I too love watching them on TV!

The sound for TV maybe enhanced, but it depends on the audio equipment you're using. If you've got good audio equipment, the sound coming from your DVD may be even better than the enhanced from the TV station. On the other hand, if your audio equipment doesn't support the enhanced feature that the tv network is trying to provide you with, you won't hear the difference either.

I think most of us like watching them on tv:).Some people can't be bothered to put the dvd in the drive a lot of the time!Just a shame about the damn ad breaks, cuts etc.

That's a given...

Even the DVD sound (and picture) won't be as good if the audio/video equipment doesn't support it.
When a sound mix is done...they do it for all kinds of equipment even mono. You won't get the best sound if you don't have the latest equipment, but you get something. Actually they way that sounds engineers know that the mix is good is if it sounds good with the s.h.i.t.tiest equipment.

TV versions also tend to have scenes added (to make up for the ones cut). The Glimmer Man is one such; Out for Justice is another. Unfortunately, neither of them have the added scenes on DVD (Warner Brothers being a cheap outfit when it comes to extras).

I don't believe Warner Brothers scrimp on most of their other dvd films.Seems to be only Seagal who gets the raw deal when it comes to variou extras.
