I'm still "lurking" around, Mr. Rooster!! :D
Amos is right, if they are not finding one thing
wrong, they are finding another!
Plus my husband had been quite ill, so we just
keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Hehehehehe!!!! Ever hear the old saying "the blind
leading the blind"? We may not be blind, we still have
to sort of follow after each other.
Love each and every one of you,
God bless,
Mama san/Casey

Casey,
Always good to hear from you. My husband is doing better, out of the hospital
but on some very strong anti-fungal medicine. Make a long story short predizone
he had been taking were making everything worse. Bad diagnosis from Dermo.
Clinic, although this took a long time for a group of some of the best specalist
in MD Anderson clinic in Houston to identify. His pneumonia is better.

THE GREAT NEWS I HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GRANDDAUGHTER (OF COURSE I AM
AWARE THAT EVERY GRANDMOTHER SAYS THE SAME THING) IN THE WORLD. SHE
WAS SMALL BUT ADORABLE. JUST LIKES TO EAT AND SLEEP. MY HUSBAND
EVEN GOT TO SEE HER LAST SUNDAY AND HE SAYS HE COULD NOT KEEP
HIS HANDS OFF OF HER, HELD HER WHEN SHE WAS ONLY 7 DAYS OLD, DIDN'T
HOLD HIS OWN CHILDREN TILL ABOUT 3 MONTHS.
CASEY, BOTH OF YOU TAKE CARE. I THINK AT OUR AGE THE DOCTORS ARE
NOT SATISFIED IF THEY DON'T FIND SOMETHING WRONG
PRAYERS ALWAYS WITH YOU.

Hi, Mr. Rooster. :) This is an honest question from me, seeking an honest opinion from you. No sarcasm or disrespect is intended in any way, so please understand that. :)

This is in direct reference to your "complaint" about people going off topic in "your" thread.

This is a perfect example, I think, of what I had tried to explain before about others interacting in a thread and going a bit off topic, and how, in my opinion, this is part of the enjoyment of participating in an open forum, getting to know others better, or simply responding to a post by a friend--even if it is a bit "off topic".

Now, would you say Pat is out of line in speaking of her husband here and her new grandchild? Or say one of us wanted to post a congratulations to Pat about her grandchild, and say we're sorry about her husband. As you mentioned to another moderator in another thread, do you think a moderator should step in here and edit this out of "your" thread, since it is off topic?

Also, do you think anyone else responding to Mama san here, saying they're sorry about her husband, but we're glad to see her back, would be "off topic" and should be edited out, since it was your thread personally asking about her?

According to your other thread where you mentioned people going off topic, one of the moderators should step in and delete any of the above examples I have just mentioned for Pat and Mama san--am I correct in assuming that?

Or if you say no, it's okay, why would it be okay in this thread and not in the other one you created?

Do you see our dilemma as moderators? How would I know when it was okay to allow someone to go off topic, such as I described above, or not allow it and edit their posts out, as you suggested in the other thread?

Normally I would have posted to Mama san about her health and her husand's, and to Pat about her husband and grandchild, but now I am hesitant in your thread. In anyone else's I would not hesitate.

I hope you understand the questions I've asked here in good faith here, Mr. Rooster. :) I'm just trying to get a better understanding, I guess, if you think going "off topic" in someone else's thread should: Be allowed any time, in any thread (just for a very few posts), or never allowed, or sometimes allowed? If allowed sometimes, how would we know it was okay one time and not another?

Thanks for reading this and hopefully being able to help me understand your viewpoint better. :)

* Pat, please understand, this has nothing to do with you! :D An issue has come up on the forum in the past couple days and I am just trying to get a better understanding. Thanks!

Sounds like my family Grandma C...one in a battery powered scooter & another in a regular wheelchair & another with a cane...I figured we could stand on the street corner with tin cups!

Seriously my best to you & your husband Grandma C & glad to hear that your husband is out of the hospital Pat! YOu mean your granddaughter only sleeps & eats? Doesn't cry & poop :)

Hello Mama San. Glad to see your ok enough to still visit here from time to time. I wish you would check in more often. Pat seems like a good friend of your's too Mama San, so I am happy things seem to be going well for her as well.
God Bless you mam.

My complaint was directed specifically to Amos because I felt that he moderated me for doing exactly what he is doing in my website thread. The only difference is that he moderated me after only one single post in a thread that he decided should be placed somewhere else. The complaint was only that, to point out to Amos exactly what your trying to point out to me. Look back at the history of moderating that took place here if you have the ability to do that and you will see what I am talking about.
That's it.
Anything else you assume other then that is not correct!

Hi, Mr. Rooster. :) Do you mean this was a single incident that took place in the past? I wouldn't even know where to begin looking for something like that--and besides, I try never to look back. :D

Thanks for taking the time to respond. :)

Grandma C will probably read this & we wouldn't want her to think we AREN"T perfect angels!!
Well, I sure don't want anyone thinking I AM a perfect angel! :D
But there's no chance of that, eh? :D

Well, in that case. ;) :D

Good to see you lurking about, Mama san. :D I am sorry to hear about your health problems and your husband, though. You may be the "blind leading the blind", but thank God you still have each other to lean on. :) Best wishes to both of you, Casey.

Hi, Pat. :) Good to see you back. I'm glad you finally got some answers about your husband. It's too bad it took them so long to find the problem, but I hope things improve from here on. :)

Congratulations on your beautiful granddaughter! :) I remember from your last post you were hoping your husband would be out of the hospital so you could get to your son and daugther-in-law's to help with the baby--and still working in between! I hope you're not wearing yourself out, Pat. As the saying goes, you must take care of yourself to take care of others.

Good luck and congratulations, Grandma. :D
