In the course of making knives, and making friends...Ken Onion has met a kindred spirit in Steven Seagal, of movie & martial arts fame. In Seagal's last film "Exit Wounds" he sported one of Ken's custom knives, and now is a huge collector. Soon, Kershaw knives will be surprising us with a SWEET offering that blends Onion, Seagal, and Kershaw...making a new knife that is sure to be an instant success! (We'd say more about it, but you'll just have to wait!) You can rest assured that as soon as something NEW concerning a new Onion is available, you'll read about it HERE first. It "might" look something like this...

There is no pic of that knive on Ken´s pages, I could not find any...
Here is the knive...
KershawStevenSeagalnet.jpg

I heard that there is some specially made changes to the knive:
Blades opening-system has been switched off wich normally protects users fingers, there for blade is now appearing out faster than normally, I don´t know if that is true?
But it´s designed by and made for Steven...

STEVEN SEAGAL & KEN ONION TEAM UP
TO CREATE NEW KERSHAW KNIFE

WILSONVILLE- Steven Seagal, star of action films like "Under Siege," "The Glimmer Man," and "The Patriot," has teamed up with long time pal and custom knife maker, Ken Onion, to design an exciting new blade for Kershaw Knives.

Kershaw's "Steven Seagal" knife is a big, handsome knife specifically created to fit Mr. Seagal's hand. The blade features his signature in English on one side and in Japanese characters on the other. (Seagal is also well known as a 7th Degree, Black Belt Aikido Master.)

The knife has another exceptional feature: the handle includes a genuine stingray leather insert. Because of its beauty and durability, stingray leather has been used for centuries to enhance a wide array of products. It is most well known, however, for its use on Japanese sword handles. This is the tradition Seagal had in mind when specified stingray leather for the handle of the knife that bears his name.

In addition, the uniquely textured stingray leather provides a one-of-a-kind look and feel-plus additional gripping power.

This high style, high performance folding knife combines some of Ken Onion's signature design features along with the size, looks, and function Seagal demanded. For example, the knife features super-smooth, one-handed, manual opening. The user simply places his thumb on the thumb stud and pushes the blade out of the handle, following its natural arc.

The Steven Seagal knife also features a high-quality AUS8A stainless steel blade with a Rockwell hardness rating of 55-57. Naturally, the blade is honed to Kershaw's famous, incredibly sharp edge. The anodized aluminum handle is built to be both strong and lightweight, while the stingray leather insert provides a singular look. The handle also includes a removable or reversible pocket clip.

The knife's locking liner secures the blade in position after deployment and makes it easy to re-secure after use. The blade measures 3 5/8 inches in length. Closed, the knife is 5 inches long; it weighs 5.5 ounces. The knife retails for $150.00.

The dramatic, new Steven Seagal knife is built to maintain Kershaw's worldwide reputation for quality and innovation. The company prides itself on using the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art techniques to produce knives and other cutting tools that are prized throughout the world.

Smile dammit!
Nice design. I have an ornamental knife with brass fittings and in a carved wooden sheath. I had it valued (expecting a few bob) and was told they are mass produced in India! Oh well.....:p
