This project just popped up on the site of VMI Worlwide:

Deadly Arsenal:
LT. DRAKE COLE (STEVEN SEGAL) discovers a nefarious international plot, to release a deadly virus which was stolen by an ex military mad man RICHARDS (DOLPH LUNDGREN), who's set on changing the global political landscape. Cole employs his most trusted agent, BURTON LEE on the job. However, Lee has a problem, a CIA agent whom he has had a relationship with in the past is also on the job, JILLIAN.

The situation between them escalates into a war of the roses as they battle for their country and each other. They realize that if they're to stop Richards from infecting the world they must forgo their national allegiance and join forces to protect the only woman who has created an immunity to the virus, ANNA.

Lt. Cole remotely guides the trio back to the United States through a gauntlet of bounty hunters, spies and killers all gunning for Richards. However, when both Lee and Jillian Become injured and Richards is close to releasing the virus, Lt. Cole sets out to kill Richards and put an end to the threat.

It's great if they finally will be in the same movie together.

But the story sounds a bit like they could both have minor roles again.

The STory sounds confusing. Like a mix of comedy, love story and action. And agree with Martin, doesn't look like they have extensive roles. So probably they won't even have any time together on set and there ' end fight' will be shit seperately with doubles....but could be wrong.

Peace

We should wait and see. I contacted Gianni Capaldi and he said they indeed hired him for the lead (that must be the character Burton Lee) and that it is in pre-production but he doesn't know where they're at with it.

I also know which director is attached to the project. Still waiting for confirmation from Capaldi to post it here.

What happened to Seagal taking his career back and only doing good projects.....this film sounds like utter tripe sorry to say

It could easy be a Brian Bosworth movie from 1996

The plot sounds kinda ridiculous. And you can already tell it'll be another glorified cameo for Seagal like most of his roles recently. He'll probably sit down in front of a computer for the most part barking orders to the actual lead guy, and they'll film all of his scenes in the same room like in The Perfect Weapon and Sniper: Special Ops.

It also sounds like Dolph's role will be limited as well, while most of the screentime will be devoted to the lesser known (and cheaper) Gianni Capaldi and whoever they hire for the female lead.
But Dolph at least gets to play the bad guy, so he'll have something interesting to do. Seagal's role sounds boring and thankless, something they wrote just to hire a name actor for a day so they can put his name on the cover.

Another quickie paycheck job. I'm not expecting much from this.

I just tried to send Steven Seagal a tweet and he replied.

Me: is it true you are gonna do a movie with Dolph Lundgren!?
Sseagalofficial: I had not heard this one. So much of what you read in the media is false.

So who is lying???

I dont think Seagal would lie about it.. So here is my guess:

The guy who is running Seagal's Twitter is probably not Seagal himself but an employee, and the guy probably haven't heard about the movie yet, ergo he writes I had not heard this one. So much of what you read in the media is false.. The thing is though, it is not the media who wrote the news but the production comany themself.. So why would the Production Company mention the name of the cast if they werent absolutely sure that they had signed on ??

Correction: the official announcement will be ASAP. Brian Skiba can not talk about the project until later this week. I asked him about Steven's involvement and he said there will be an official announcement ASAP. So I have the feeling Steven is in it otherwise he could have just easily said that Steven is not involved at all.

True or false, the projet idea is terrible.

I think the idea of the project is fine. It is the script that worries me a little bit.
