It appears that he will become Ghengis Kahn. And by that he made a deal with a production company worth 500 000.....and should be in production by the end of the year

Steven Seagal Rides Into the Sun Source: Variety Wednesday, August 13, 2003.

Franchise Pictures has acquired Into the Sun, an action film written by Steven Seagal and Joe Halpin as a star vehicle for Seagal. The project will likely go into production by year's end.

Seagal will play a retired special agent who is drawn into the treacherous world of the yakuza in order to protect his family.

Seagal, who last scripted Secret Smileand usually does production polishes on films he stars in, enlisted the expertise of Halpin, a 19-year veteran of the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. who has worked the past 11 years as an undercover narcotics detective and done work with the DEA.

This is a whole different and new movie and has nothing to do with The Yakuza or Ghenghis Khan..Yakuza is filming now and it was not written by Seagal but is a remake of an older film..
It looks like Seagal is now making a new film every month.

I'm beginning to lose track of all the new films that he is making. He is definately on a blistering pace with the amount of films that he is pumping out nowadays..
Remember the old days when he made a film a year at the most. I think we all wanted him to make more films but now its getting a little ridiculous and i was never for quantity over quality..I'll watch and buy anything that he makes but i think now he is doing a lot of these movies just for the money..He is also doing some films now that he wrote himself and that is something that he always wanted to do as well..

Good news!!It's a case of blink and there's another Seagal flick lined up!!Amazing!I wonder how long(on average)a film takes to make?I'm guessing the stv films can be filmed in about a month,where as the films made for cinema can take up to 3 months.

i think out of reach and this film(i think its yakuza will go to cinemas and he is back with franchise pictures which means he is away from nu image who made ticker and out for kill.

3.Another source(cinescape) says he is currently shooting Out Of Reach in Poland.

All I know is he is working very hard! I am looking forward to all of them...
So 'into the sun' is a new one, he is getting to write more, and basically controlling his own career...

Maybe he really needs the money...

Okay. Now I'm REALLY confused. There was a movie in 2002 called Into the Sun, starring Anthony Michael Hall. Aren't there some kind of copyright laws about the same title within a certain period of time???

I think that Yakuza was always slated to start in September and I believe that he has finished Unleashed(or just about)..Out of Reach may be filming now or will film right after Yakuza..Lets remember that Yakuza is the theatrical release here and all the others can shoot pretty quickly before and after Yakuza..I am just wondering why he is now doing Into the Sun after he is already signed to make Yakuza..Its definately not the same picture-Yakuza and Into the Sun ..The cast for Yakuza has already been set and already has directors and writers; Into the Sun is written by Seagal himself and Joe Halpin(definately different writers). And Into the Sun has no director as of yet..
I think that it is a good chance that he is now shooting Out of Reach and will, as scheduled, shoot Yakuza as originally mentioned, in September..

Ray Sefo is in Yakuza but Michelle Yeow, who was once rumoured to be in Yakuza is not officially confirmed to be in any new Seagal film..

I'm with you, Suzi!! There's so much speculation and unconfirmed rumors. I think I'll just wait until I see the DVD for sale on the shelf or see the preview for the movie before I get too excited.
