I for one would not like to be confined to just rotting but it is my understanding that it is just the physical body which does that, so I may have a chance afterall.

It brings tears to my eyes to think God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for me...little ol' me. Why? Because He loves us.ALL of us. I looked at my life and knew no matter how good I tried to be that it would NEVER be good enough and that is why God sent His son Jesus to pay the price so we could be with Him where there is no sin when our bodies die. Jesus became the bridge.
I look at my life and think...You did that for me?...I start to think...."You need glasses God?" He says "NO." "Just accept my gift and believe." Hmmm...free too!
When I think about what He did... I want to stand on a mountain top and tell the world. The bible has Gods promises, answers. I hold them dear to my heart.

Death, I believe, is a transition into another plane of existence, another consciousness. Not necessarily higher or better, just different. The soul, I believe, is what keeps the body going. The body is temporary. Take good care of it, and it will serve you indefinitely. But, like everything else material, it will fail, and fall apart. The soul, I know, goes on, for it is beyond the grasp of bodily death. The soul just leaves to go onto the next level. Some souls choose to stay earthbound, because of human attachment to things, people, places, whatever, and they don't reach the other side right away.
OK...I'm going to stop now! I could go on and on about this subject! I don't follow a guru or anything like that. It's just what I believe.

Kimono soul I have a similar belief that our "souls" are energy and when our body dies our energy is released. Now where the belief goes from their is a little more detailed and good for another day. Peace.

I believe when the bodies die we go on to another plain, but when we are bad I believe, especially the ones that will not change their ways, their souls can be destroyed, by God so the innocent can go on living and not be afraid, I actually don't believe that God wanted Jesus to die, because Jesus had so much more to teach than he did, sometimes I think it was a sin to kill Jesus, because God got mad at the end when Jesus died. I think they should of killed the murder and let Jesus go.In the end it is God who must forgive a persons sins.
