Take this for what it is...It is very likely that is a rumor but I thought I would post it incase any fans of this forum have heard of this

*This I believe to be false. This "Yakuza" listing could have been "Into The Sun" before production, who knows. But release date is estimated at 2006, doubt Mr. Seagal would pencil things in that far in advance...

*Could be true, sounds like Steven Seagal material to me. But again, don't think he would make decisions so far in advance...And Unleashed is also the title of Jet Li's new movie with Li and Morgan Freeman

Seagalfan, this is the original version of Into the Sun which got scrapped. There's a better synopsis of this around somewhere, and wasn't a half-bad plot. Compared to the current Into the Sun, it sounded much more interesting.

"Unleashed" was scrapped a long time ago.

May I ask, where you found these items? These are both from "old news". I'm curious about the source, simply because I think someone is pulling a leg somewhere by posting old news as if it were new.

well apparently Unleashed is being thought about again, it may not happen but I can say that it appears to be in consideration...My sources are people...Sorry, but I'm not mentioning any names.

Yakuza is probably a typo, now that you say it was the original screen write for Into the Sun. That information was found on 3 different movie update sites...I guess those three don't update often

Yakuza definitely became Into the Sun, not sure why Kurupt wasn't in the final cut though. Not sure about Unleashed still being considered but the more the merrier!
