now that its been out a while what are peoples views on exit wounds.....i most admit when i first saw it i was slighty disaponited but now after seeing seagals recent work i think its a masterpiece and i would not mind seagal doing another film with mr bartkowtiz

Exit Wounds was awesome the first time I saw it and it's still awesome now. The film's even more special given the fact that it may be Seagal's last decent film if he keeps churning out **** like The Foreigner and Out for a Kill.

I really like "Exit Wounds" and would place it in my top five Seagal movies along with the likes of "Out For Justice" and "Under Siege". It was just good to see him in a mainstream film again and bearing it mind that it was made by uber-producer Joel Silver, it boasted some good production values and looked a hell of a lot more than its modest budget would have suggested. I also thought it had a good supporting cast whereupon Seagal seemed to work well with everyone especially Isiah Washington and Jill Hennessy.

One of my favourite cinematic experiences of 2001.

Peace.

Yes, he did have a good rapport with his co-stars...
I think perhaps the right mix is a lot more crucial than we realize...
There is a lot to be said for chemistry, huh?

come get some
I love this film, Sensei is great in it. "You see this face? this a happy face. You all would be LUCKY to be as happy as I am." (breaks table into a million pieces)

but like gunslinger said, it could well be the last REALLY entertaining Seagal movie. hate to be the pessimist, but... :(

I posted a reply to this last night, but it appears to have been lost... :(

I too think that Exit Wounds is an awesome film and easily one of the best Seagal has done since Under Siege. It was a very nice update to Seagal's style and he displayed his acting capabilities (including some nice good moments of comedy) very well (something which has been lacking a bit in recent efforts). He looked in good shape - leaner and fitter than he had done in previous movies and his inter-action with the co-stars was good and the fight sequences were a nice return to form, particularly the one with the thugs who were trying to break into his truck, which was awesome. I also think it was wise not to stick to the plot of John Westermann's book (upon which the movie is supposedly based) - good though the book is, I prefer the storyline of the movie

A couple of things annoyed me about the movie though - the bit where he destroyed the helicopter simply by shooting it was a bit much, as was the handstand kick and the unrealistic gunshot dubbing in the bridge scene at the beginning - the gun Seagal is holding is clearly a .45 semi-automatic, but the noise it makes when Seagal fires it is that of an automatic weapon. Also - it is repeatedly mentions that the movie is set in Detroit when it was obviously filmed in Toronto, Canada. I don't understand why they had to go to the trouble of naming an American city for the movie to be set in - it didn't matter that much to the story. However, these small matters aside - this movie rocked!

In the scene where he disables the carjackers he flies down and up on one hand as the guy pulls the trigger. It looks impossible and in his case, it is!

Yes, that was cool, but a camera trick...
However, Steven is mega mega cool, no doubts
about that!
Exit Wounds is one of my favs if not my all time fav, but it's so hard to choose...
There is just something so yummy about that Orin though, mmmm, mmmm...
Oh what a handsome man! ;)

Exit Wounds was good but not so good as to make his latest stuff terrible, as is suggested. I actually enjoyed The Foreigner, but was a little saddened to see him struggle in the action scenes. Surely he can still make quick movements without all that slow motion crap?

Maybe the slow motion stuff is soley for the effects,
and done on purpose...
The bullets were done in slo mo too...
It is much harder to do things when you're overweight,
but people bit*hing at you and being so judgemental
doesn't help, either...
Unless you've ever had a serious weight
problem perhaps one just can't understand...

I do understand Lotus. I was 18 1/2 stone at Xmas and know all about getting tired easily and all the things being overweight does but even though i'm 14 1/2 now i'd gladly go back to being overweight to get my breathing back.My windpipe collapsed in on itself and i may need a tracheotomy.(Storm, who paid a high price when they took out the lines). When you think i never smoked or was asthmatic, it's a bummer but there you go. All the best girl.

Awwww, Storm you poor thing...
Is anyone coming to your chat
these days?
I might stop by sometime...
It would be nice to know when
it would be active, though...
How did the misfortune
with your windpipe happen?
Doesn't sound so fun,
Best of luck to you...:)

Thanks Lotussan. I'm not much for chatrooms. I prefer the way you can answer as quick or slow here. I put that in just in case i did fancy a talk with someone.Sometimes i check it 830 uk time, but this is the main site and meeting place for us all so it's not busy.
I won't drone on about what happened but i got a blood clot in my main vein to my bowels and had a twisted and poisoned bowel (fatal if not operated on). They didn't stitch it up right after removing the destroyed part so i had to have the op again! Both times i nearly passed on.As i was unconcious for weeks the tissue in my throat grew around the ventilator, hence removing it collapsed the trachea(windpipe).Because i wasn't moving my muscle wasted away so i had to learn to walk again and have been building up ever since.Anything's better than not being able to do what i once took for granted (breathing easily). You can read down my guestbook to find out more. I'm seeing a specialist this week (gulp). Thanks for asking!

Thanks a million Casey. I don't feel sorry for myself, just sad at my bloody bad luck! An op could be dangerous but i can't stay like this.I work out but quickly lose the battle with oxygen!
(Storm, ready to gamble).
