Xinhua reported that Silva will fly to Los Angeles this week to begin shooting the first scenes for the film, which is yet to be titled.

Either it's not Forces Of Execution, or the media just dont know the title yet. Which one do you think it is ??

i remember seagal saying that they were looking at 3 projects before making maximum conviction. so i think Silva is in a completely new project we havent heard off yet.

Wow, this here just cought my eye in the article:

The 37-year-old said he had already embarked on a training programme specifically tailored for the big-screen role.

The big screen role?? Again, either the media thinks it will be a theatrical release without doing the least bit of research, or maby it really is a theatrical release, although I doubt it. But hey lets hope so.

Actually, shooting in LA means a smaller budget. Money goes further in Canada or Bulgaria. LA means much cheaper.

Alexander Coates' (Seagal) criminal empire has been good to him - and devastating to his enemies - until his number one hit man, Roman Hurst, messes up what should have been a routine hit. Alexander spares his protege's life but cripples his hands, thus 'retiring' Hurst forever. Before long, though, Alexander realizes that he'll need Hurst's help one last time when Iceman, a ruthless killer, surfaces.

So this means that he plays a bad guy/the villain again? :)

It doesnt sound like hes going to be playing a villian again cause it says Alexander realizes that he'll need Hurst's help one last time when Iceman, a ruthless killer, surfaces. Or am I missing something? Either way sounds interesting c:

Yes you are missing something. It says: Alexander Coates' (Seagal) criminal empire has been good to him. That means he plays a criminal, thats pretty obvious to anyone. It sounds like some sort of Cartel/Mafia-like movie, it sounds good becouse Seagal dosnt play a good guy/mommys boy. On the other hand he dosnt play the actual villain either, but he does play a criminal which does NOT make him a good guy ;)

Read it again Kadence1!

It makes sense now that you mention it Boyd. I'm really excited to see him play a criminal again :) As good as he can be when he plays a good guy, as vicious can he be when he plays a bad guy, and he does it great

From this description it sounds to me like Seagal will have a smaller role with not a lot of fighting. It looks to me like the characters of Hurst and Iceman will have more of the screen time and more of the fight scenes. As long as they don't market this as another run of the mill Seagal action film then it's not necessarily a bad thing. After all playing the head of a criminal empire and not being at the centre of all the fight scenes is a role that would better suit Seagal's age and current physical shape.

Seagal and Trejo is the lead characters, so no, Seagal will not have a smaller role.
