Found something...Is it real?

Hey all, I was searching around the net for more sites on Seagal. I saw one called F*ck You and Die. I had seen it many times before but never went to it because... well.. the name turned me off. I thought it was a site knocking him. Turns out it's NOT a site AGAINST Seagal. Anyway... There is an address that you can write to Seagal. I think it's under the fun facts section of this site. It said something about his work address. It said I wouldn't dare writing him at work if you didn't have something decent to say. (that is not a quote) Just wondering if anyone has saw the same site and address. Is it a real address? And is it his fan mail address?

Hi, Tara. That's been there for at least a year, because I saw it when I first started searching, before I joined here. As far as I can tell, nothing has been changed or updated there in all this time. Who knows if it's his real address? None of us could possibly know for sure, but I do know people from here have written him and sent him cards at a couple of different addresses and have never received a response.

In his presant state of mind it is very unlikely he would respond anyway. I can only draw from what I know of other artistes, and in truth, their staff do not pass on the mail. Most of the well run offices, and I can only quote from a few, either pass on all the mail to a fan club base, or bin it. Logisticly, it costs a fortune to deal with, requiring a full time person, plus stationary and postage. Most rely on their fan clubs giving them access to information and allowing it to be passed on to fans. Very occasionally something gets through, but it has to be realllllly exceptional to get as far as the artiste, and more so for him to take a personal interest. Usually when a fan gets through, it is because they have popped up everywhere and gradually built up a nodding relationship (like a Japanese girl who visits Elton Johns house every year and camps outside) Or, more often, they know someone who knows someone who brings their story to the attention of the artiste. Now we are well into the age of web sites, some do visit there fan bases quite regularly, but I have no knowledge of any of them joining in. Those who participate more, and take an interest in their fans are those surrounded by good quality management and friends who guide and advise only to place their person in a good light. (Richard Gere, Tom Hanks, Eric Clapton being good examples) Sadly, Steven seems to be surrounded by hangers on and people without the finesse to realise just how important it is not only to be supportive to the fan base, but to be respected by a wide audience as well.

It's been around a lot longer than that, Serena!!!
If memory serves it was around back in '98.
God bless,

I have been to that site a long time ago. Way before I came here. After BOTB came out I did email the person who has that site and asked him when he is going to put more sounds from Steven's new movies. He did email me back and told me that when he has time he will. That was a long time ago and I have seen nothing changing on the sound part of his site.
I use the lines from Steven's movies for when my friends come online. This way I don't need to be right in front of my pc to know who come online.

How do you know his present state of mind, Tiggy?
And is something wrong? Dammit, what is going on?

wow, we are actually thinking alike on something?

Amazing...

Of course we both find the Sensei quite fetching, never argued on that point, eh?

Well...If you say something objective...of course. For a person to know his state of mind from afar they'd had to be psychic.

Well I wasn't going to write it because I have read that some on this site has wrote and never got a response. I was just wondering if it was a real address because I can't see how someone can get his "work Address". I just thought that famous people don't let things like that get out. I figured the only addy would be the fanclub. Anyway...

So Seagal doesn't have a person hired to deal with his fan mail huh?

Well,I guess that even if he has one like that I suppose there's the only way he deals with the fan mail-heading straight to the papercut

Or do you suggest they have a storage specially for his fanmail-gotta use my imagination to get the picture how huge it should be to insert at least your letters,Lotus :D

Yes, my letters were quite long, that's for sure...
But I didn't get them back, so here's to hoping, eh?
I never really expected to get anything back, just wanted to let him to read them...
If I was him I'd read as many as I could, just out of being curious...

And if I was him I wouldn't actually take my time to read them.Well,I'm just using my imagination. :rolleyes:And from what I see he might have gotten loads of such letters from the other people as well but it's hardly believable he'd waste his time on it.Such a busy man.

They say there are only five story lines for all films made, and that just about sums up fan mail as well. I have read so much of it, and with the very odd exception it is all the same, plus a few threatening and a few begging letter. Probably in the first year of receiving fan mail the artiste does read some, but after that, it gets so boring. I have delivered bins of the stuff to dressing rooms and have found it all unopened and dumped when the artiste has gone. Likewise I have been in the office of one big artiste where it is passed on to his fan club to deal with, but have never seen him show the slightest inclination to look at any. Having said that, the same person does quite often visit web sites dedicated to him, and I know of others who regularly do so. I believe it is probably because they get curious, and there is more going on, on a web site, and also it can be done when they are stuck on a film set or back stage for long hours. As for knowing about Stevens state of mind, I don't, but it is easy to see that he is not at his happiest, and I have been told by someone who knows him well, that he is not an easy guy at the moment. This was said with meaningful head shaking. Quite how you interpret that, I don't know. I tried to get him to enlarge but he wouldn't. So no I am not psychic and I have only the vaguest of facts to go on. Certainly I didn't get the impression there was anything physically wrong with him, so i guess he is just being an old grump going through a bad patch - most of us can identify with that from time to time!
