Hard Target 2 - Directed By Roel Reine / Scott Adkins

Dutch media sites are reporting that Roel Reine will start shooting Hard Target 2 in oktober and november:

Part 2 is about a gang who is hunting people in the jungle between Birma and Thailand. Jean Claude Van Damme will not return for the sequel!! But John Woo will return as producer. It's going to be an ode to the old classis John Woo movies.

Agree, and it is stupid and strange that Van Damme will not do this one. They probably end up casting some B action movie star. Well, Van Damme is also a B action movie star by now. So playing the role of Chance Boudreaux again would be great for his career and he will be getting a lot of attention. This is what the fans would like to see! I.....just....don't....understand....

Just another way they try to sell DTV movies. Low budget and use the name of a decent movie hoping some people will buy it thinking it will be of the same standard as the first one.

I certainly won't be buying it, lots of awful DTV releases this year. Generally i read reviews before i buy anything now.

Agree, it seems that this new movie called Chain Of Command with Steve Austin and Michael Jai White is very very bad. A lot of dtv crap this year. But sometimes there are also some really good movies between them.

DTV is where action stars go to die. Sad but true. This is like making Exit Wounds 2 starring Randy Orton.

Roel Reine gets hired for all these "dtv sequels to blockbuster movies". Just because he does a great job and makes every movie look like an expensive action movie. I am wondering what Roel Reine could do with a big budget and do EX4 for example. I think we would get a great action movie!
