I Must Say I Am Impressed

I finally bought the new Mojo Priest album and I gotta say I am impessed. I knew Steven was a skilled guitarist but I didn't know he can sing. Seagal has that great soft, yet deep and raspy voice which fiits perfectly for the types of blues he sings.

Being a big fan of the blues I think Mojo Priest is quality blues music. I've listened to the album 3 times already. A lot of fun to listen to and a lot of his songs are very creative.

I was plesantly suprised he did a cover (remake) of "Dust My Broom," the famous Robert Johnson song that has been covered by legends like Freddie King and Elmore James.

Anybody who enjoys the blues or just fun, laid back, chill, toe-tapping grooves, I suggest you take a ganger at this album. Very fun.

why were you surprised? on the basis on his love for music and route 29 on the first album i knew he would excel on the blues-i love the way he sings and plays the blues-Love doctor is my personal favourite, followed closely by alligator ass.
i would love to hear more of his music, when i meet him at the london concert im gonna ask him if he's got a third album up his sleeve

I haven't heard Songs of the Crystal Cave. But I heard it's not of the blues genre. It's more slower paced music.

And I'm suprised because being a musician is hard. You don't just get up and sing. It takes talent. Plus Seagal makes a living by kicking poeple's asses. Not by singing. It was suprising for me.

Hey Starmaiden,

I think Songs of the Crystal Cave has songs with different genres.
The songs on the album hasn't one particular genre.
Some songs has a genre like Reggae or a music genre out South Africa and other songs have an other genre, so that makes it a special album and it sounds really really good!!!
