Is there any other Dario Argento fans in here apart from me?

Hello everyone

I was wondering if there are any other Dario Argento fans in here apart from myself? I am a huge fan of his work and have most of his films on DVD. I enjoy most of his films even the card player. But I really have a soft spot for his 3 mother trilogy and Im really looking forward to seeing the 3rd and final film in the trilgoy which he is making at the moment.

Yeah, Argento is one of my favorite directors. I've been a little disappointed by some of his more recent movies, but even the worst of them will have some interesting element that I like. Even The Card Player, which I really didn't like, had that intensely bleak cinematography and the tapdancing coroner.

Deep Red, Suspiria, Inferno, Opera, and The Stendhal Syndrome are my personal favorites. I also thought his entry for this year's season of Masters of Horror, Pelts, was good.

I Agree that he is running out of ideas considering he can do the gene he is good at in so many ways without repeating ideas out of his eariler films but it would be tough to come up with fresh ideas
I loved Deep Red and found myself jumping at a few of the scenes thou I dont usualy do that with most horror. The eye in the closet was quite a chilling scene and I go cold every time I see that without fail. The longer verson at over 120 mins was better in a way as it expanded some of the characters and fleshed them out as people and it made them even more exciting to watch

One of my favourite films from Argento is PHENOMENA with Jennifer Connelly and Donald Pleasence. This movie was filmed in a boarding school in Zürich here in Switzerland.

Yes Its one I love the most as well thou many disagree with me as he tried to do a slightly different verson on the Suspria with the Jennifor having the power to do good instead of the way around in the case of Suspria with Suzie only relieing on her knowledge and luck with no special powers at all. Thou Jenny had to as well in some parts of the film (the telephone in the hole in the wall, the pond dive).

A beautiful film with lovely music that is haunting as well as classy from Goblin I'm getting a CD of their greatest hits as they make lovely music and way better then the overhyped "Anyla" and also some sweeet Iron Madian music as well
