You mentioned in another thread you were having a problem with the pop-up/worms? I've had the same nightmare of a problem for two days. It was taking over my computer, redirecting it, freezing it up.
After running the Norton Antivirus and the Ad-Aware programs, I came to the conclusion--later verified by someone who works on computers who reported several hundred people in this area alone had been infected--that it was not a virus, but a pop-up pirate.
After spending hours and hours on this, I believe I finally found the culprits and uninstalled their programs--several of them that Ad-Aware indicated would not let them delete.
If you haven't solved the problem and would like to know what I found and did, I'd be glad to help. Just let me know.
For the first time in two days, I seem to be spyware-free and pop-up free, so hopefully I stumbled across the solution. It's certainly not because I know what I'm doing.
