Kurt Russell.

Okay I'm not a prick when it comes to movies like some of y'all.
But I don't see why so many people hated Solider, Star gate, and tango and cash.
Granted they're not grammy qualified, butonly bitch movies get grammies...THink Titanic!

I liked Soldier and Star Gate and I just missed seeing Tango and Cash last night. The Kurt Russell films I don't like were the early ones that he did for Walt Disney.

Sleeping Fox - nobody liked Soldier, StarGate or Tango And Cash quite simply because they were a load of boring old toss. I like a lot of Kurt Russell's films - Big Trouble In Little China, Breakdown and Unlawful Entry to mention just a few were awesome, and his new one (Dark Blue) looks very good, but, like all actors, he has made some bad decisions when it comes to making a couple of movies.

"Dad, Can I Borrow the Car?" was the first time I saw Kurt Russell. It was a weird little Disney quasi-docu pic on a boy buying his first car. The scene in the car lot where the cars are trying to entice him to buy was actually very funny.

Kurt Russel is a phenomenal actor, and I especially enjoy his collaborations with John Carpenter such as Escape from New York and The Thing. He also played well off Seagal in Executive Decision, and showed some respect for him in those interviews that were so kindly put up at this site (from the rare Japanese DVD)

I really enjoyed "Tango & Cash", and would say it is one of my favourite Sylvester Stallone films. He and Kurt Russell made a great double act and I enjoyed their competitive banter and wisecracks. I also thought Jack Palance was excellent as the scenery chewing baddie and thought that he would have been great as a Bond villain.(He was actually offered "The Man With The Golden Gun" but turned it down)

"Soldier" went straight to video over here in 1998 and admittedly it is not a great film but I thought it was'nt just as bad as its reputation. I don't remember a terrible lot about it but there was some good action and the ever villainess Gary Busey had a role in it. Its main problem was that the character that Rusell played would have been more suited to the like of Stallone or Lundgren and felt it did'nt suit his acting style. Just my opinion.

Peace.
