OMG, thank-you, gun! This is so exciting! I can't really afford it, and don't want the VHS format in particular anyhow, but I am soooooo excited to see that it is going to be available sooner than we thought! I can't wait to rent it! And of course will buy the DVD asap...Let's keep our eyes peeled for the DVD version on amazon and B&N!

And by the way, you all know there is an ongoing competion to see who'll be the first one to obtain and review the first copy...
So, will it be you?
Who's it going to be? ;)
Not that I don't want it of course, I want to support my dearest Sensei in every way possible, I just can't really afford the high price...:(
Now if it was DVD, I'd probably go ahead, and I still might...
How about you?
Who's going to be the first one to review it, eh?
Let the games begin! :D

July 2004? Well, that's darn soon compared to the fall. I can't wait. Thanks for the info. My fingers are crossed that it is true.

Good news. LOL like that coffee commercial - "Smells fresh, fresh ... EXCITING!"

LOL Tora and you thought it was coming on your birthday (but it's coming on mine :=).

I think it's a typo. They probably meant $9.99 because DVDs are usually more expansive than VHS. And is the price in American dollars?

Yes, that is in American dollars. The same thing happened in November when Belly of the Beast became available for preordering on VHS. I had a post back then that explained what Amazon's price was and why. It was $103 at the time, with this note from them:

"Why is this video so expensive? It was priced by the studio for the rental market. The price often drops to under $30 within 6 months of its video release date. When the studio lowers the price of the movie, we'll adjust its price in our store. But if you love it, and want it now, we want you to have it. Enjoy!"

I want one, but gosh, already spending money I don't have...:(
I wonder how much of it he gets directly if we order that?

Sounds good, but Im not getting my hopes up. Ive been checking barnes and noble, borders, and best buy for months, and no sign of this movie. Not even for pre-order. If it was really coming out in a few months, Im sure they would have had some info by now....

Actually, in looking over my old post just now from November, Movies Unlimited actually had it available for preorder a week before Amazon did, followed quickly by Blockbuster and Best Buy. We can just hope, eh? :)

Actually I will preorder. But I will wait a little B&N or Amazon. Because I don't know this company.
I will buy it !! No doubt !!

Well, that same site lists Belly of the Beast as being released in June, 2004, and they are accepting adavnce orders for that one, too, even though Belly was ALREADY released.

Well, if it was, then Barnes & Noble would have the option of advance ordering it, as they did for both OFAK and BOTB, usually about 2-3 months' lead time. There's nothing there, at least as of this afternoon; so I suspect that the information on Matt Schulze's website hasn't been updated with new information. Did you check on when the site had last been updated?

And, if it were to be released in May videodetective.com would have a trailer by now. It doesn't.

Not to dispute the accuracy of the information on Schulze's website, you understand; but evidence suggests that Out of Reach is still, um, out of reach.
