KomonoSoul,
What Ghandi and said is sad but true....but not for all for that would be stereo-typing them.

I believe anyone who has really..I mean really asked Jesus in their heart will WANT to strive to have a Christ like behavior in every aspect of their lives.:)

Buddha....so true...so true.

I would hope so! :D

Here's another one from Buddha you might like:
"Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a spiritual life."

And as an extra added bonus....another one from Mother Teresa:
"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much."

Thanks for the quotes. They are nice.:)

I don't particularly agree with the first quote you gave from Mother Theresa though. God said to love one another....but He didn't say to love one and not another. Just a thought. :)

How are you doing Kimonosoul? Did you know we share a birthday? I noticed that last fall. :)

This is my interpretation of that quote....if you start small, it kind of creates a ripple effect. If you show love to one person, they will in turn show love to another, and pretty soon, it spreads....like when you throw a pebble into a lake...the ripples spread to the opposite shore, all from that one tiny pebble. I really don't think Mother Teresa meant that Jesus meant to just love a few. She was just one person, and look at the impact she had! :D

I had no idea that we shared a birthday! That's kinda cool...;)

Heather....your quote you posted is great! I love that one!:)

I like your interpretation. I think that works for everyone. We all have an impact on everyone we come in contact with in life. Mother Theresa sure had a big heart for helping others. Major positive impact.:)

I came across these pieces of scripture in the bible while doing devotions with my children.

Makes me thankful that no matter what happens in life, no one can take Gods love away from us. Jesus loves us, for always. All we have to do is accept His free gift. He sent His Son, Jesus to die on a cross for mankinds sins so we can spend eternity with Him in heaven where there is no sin, all because He loves us. The gift?..: "For God so loved the world, He gave His one and only Son, that who so ever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life. God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world but that through Him the world might be saved."~ John 3:16&17

Romans 8: 35-39
"Who then can ever keep Christ's love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because He doesn't love us anymore? And if we are hungry, or penniless, or in danger, or threatened with death, has God deserted us? No, for the Scriptures tell us that for His sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day-we are like sheep awaiting slaughter, but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Jesus Christ who loved us enough to die for us. For I am convinced that nothing can ever seperate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels won't, and all the power of hell itself cannot keep God's love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are-high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean-nothing will ever be able to seperate us from the love of God deomonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when He died for us."~ Romans 8: 35-39

May you get a blessing from these bible verses also.

with love and respect,
Jules
