Commercials may not necessarily be a bad thing. I have tapes I made from the late 80s to the early 90s that I haven't looked at in a while, and I'm wondering now if there are any interesting commercials on them... as in, trailers for Steven Seagal movies!
Mind you, the number of ads for drugs from drug companies on the A&E channel are truly remarkable. Makes me think of THX 1138....
