STEVEN SEAGAL NATIVE AMERICAN-STYLE JACKET COATS WORN BY HIM IN THE WB MOVIE "ON DEADLY GROUND" (1994) BY FAMOUS COSTUME DESIGNER CATHY SMITH

You can bid right here, right now, on one of two, or both beautiful handmade Native American-style jacket coats made for 6'-6" tall action film movie star Steven Seagal by famous Native American costume designer Cathy Smith. These are rare celebrity collectibles, one-of-a-kind and are wonderful designer items, sure to go up in value as investments when properly preserved.

Cathy Smith made several costumes for Steven Seagal to wear in the movie, and these are two of the four or more jacket coats he wore handsomely in the environmental action thriller co-starring Michael Caine.

These coats are each sold individually and can be also purchased together as a set for twice the price. Bid prices may vary. Also included are photos from the movie showing Mr. Seagal wearing the coats, and a DVD of the movie for each coat. As a bonus you will also receive a certificate of authenticity verifying these coats are the genuine article worn by Steven Seagal.

These coats were acquired from Mr. Seagal personally when he was recording an album project with famous record producer Ray Ruff in 1999. Ray loved the coats he wore in this movie and Steven gave two of them to him as gifts. Ray passed away in 2005 and these items are from his personal estate. Pictured in the fourth photo is legendary guitarist James Burton, record producer Ray Ruff and his wife Sharon, and Steven Seagal on the right at a recording session in 1999.

Each coat is a size 46, sleeves are approx. 34" long and are beautifully decorated with genuine Native American designs. One is buckskin, has beadwork and is fringed, and the other is dark brown with Indian-head pennies buttons and a fringe-style Western coat; it also has leather thong cords to tie closed in the front. This is an original costume design based on real Native American designs by award-winning movie costume designer Cathy Smith. This is a ready-made "off-the-rack" jacket coat made from real leather, with leather fringes and beadwork and has one tag sewn into it, made by Echo Mountain in Mexico. This coat was taken by Cathy Smith and modified to make it an original designer jacket with Native American fringes and beadwork designs to make it a one-of-a-kind item for Mr. Seagal to wear in the movie.

Just take a look at these beautiful one-of-a-kind jacket coats, actually worn by Steven Seagal in one of his best movies!

Winners will receive a typewritten, signed COA (Certificate of Authenticity)letter by Ray's widow, Sharon Ruffin, a color picture of Steven Seagal in the studio with James Burton, Ray and Sharon taken in 1999, and a special surprise gift.

Please look at the pictures of the coats in the attached photos!

Mystery Mom

these were listed on ebay

Three times and nary a bid...

Methinks they expect too much money for them.
They started at $2000 apiece then relisted at $1400 each.

Now they are down to $1000 minimum.

S & H was in the $50 range for each coat.

I'd be tempted if the price were more reasonable and really is this the venue to hold an auction?

Who here has the spare cash?

Okay - Let's Play

If you are serious about offering these on this venue then here goes a genuine first offer.

I'd like the "cupcake" jacket and I'll start bidding at USD $50 plus S&H.

Next....

Everyone wants something for nothing. Apparently no one here is serious about these
items. The ones who have responded would like for us to just give them away for practically nothing. We cannot afford to do that!
These are not bargain basement items, fans. You seem to want some rare collectibles of Steven's for Goodwill store prices that he would be very unflattered by.

Dejael, i think it is YOU that is insulted and unflattered by the responses and nobody else
i think that Steven Seagal is mature enough to completely understand and be compassionate to the fact that his fans may not find it utterly necessary to pay a bunch of money for a jacket he once wore
so don't feel unflattered, remember we here are not movie stars making the big bucks, i believe the majority of us fans are normal folk living paycheck to paycheck and the $1000.00 each reserve you have posted for these items is a just out of range for something like this
they are nice jackets i will admit but honestly, if i bought one it would either hang in the closet for nothing other than a conversation piece which i do not need in my life to feel important or i would have to have it altered to wear and enjoy which will also cost me a pretty penny on top of the jacket purchase price

my question to you is......
are the proceeds going to a charity of some sort or are you just looking to profit as much as you can off these GIFTS from Steven?

if you decide to let them go for less, i would like to bid 150.00 plus shipping for either one but preferably the dark one with my reason being that i will not spend much more than 200.00 total on any leather/suede jacket and i have pets that jump at times and the dark one won't show the paw prints as much LOL!!!
you can private message me anytime

have a fantastic day:)

I'm sticking my nose back into this!

Dejael had/has an eBay account that he used to list these coats - not once but a relisting took place - he got no offers. the account in his name had a negative next to it- how many eBay accounts do you see with a -1 rating. Now granted that is probably some sort of error- for he had zero sales and only one notation of a purchase that went unpaid.

Next the coats were listed under another name with a small, but favorable rating. Again listed and relisted without any response. Several weeks went by and then Dejael introduced himself to this list and a short while later we have the below listing for the coats again.

It does not take long to see the people on this forum are a mix of individuals from all walks of life. Backgrounds are varied and the mix is pretty much made up of ordinary everyday individuals - I say that with absolutely no derogatory intent - but we are just a bunch of people from the general population of the world who are doing our best to get along in this very large and sometimes very small world.

I responded to Dejael's listing pretty much tongue in cheek, figuring he was not going to meet his goal here or his expectations. Then I tried, not once, but twice to email him directly with an offer well beyond my smart mouth response earlier. My mail bounced both times.

Then the thought occurred to me, what guarantee do we have that he will honor any proposed bid. We can/could offer to buy the jackets and he can take his pick from the best offer, accept our money and kiss us off. At least on eBay we have some recourse to recover our money -- here- well...

Now he has responded rather petulantly to the responses to his listing. Dejael, you would be much better listing the jackets back on eBay WITHOUT a reserve and taking what you can get- anyone here who chooses to try and buy them from him - well I think you just take your chances.

Face it the market he is looking for is not here- and as any good salesman will tell you the product is only worth what the market will pay. We are not museum curators, nor presidents of large corporations with oodles of $$ filling our pockets. I, too, would have offered $200 for the lighter jacket, but my email never reached your inbox Dejael.

So I now question your intent, validity and truthfulness in this whole matter.

o WOW!!!
you make some very valid points about ebay being a more secure place to purchase from and it's interesting that your email offers have been bounced

i think i will retract my offer at this point at least until i see it posted on a more secure insured site

thank you Myst Mom
