OK maybe I missed this one, but when did Steven get a tatoo? Does this mean that he will not go sleevless in his movies anymore? I would like to see him in a movie with that tatoo.:D It looks good on him. I have always wanted one, but I am not brave enough to get one. OUCH.

Believe me, if you really want a tatoo. if there's one you really love, you'll go trough the pain to have it!
When you get obsessed by a tatoo, you finally do it!

Maybe that's it. I just have not found one that I love that much.:) I have a low, not low, but no, tolerance of pain.

Anyway the pain depends on the location of the tatoo. There are places on the body where it hurts and some where it doesn't hurt too much. Of course if you don't like the pain, don't do a tatoo on your spine or on the inside of your arm (for example). Believe me, first be obsessed by a tatoo (otherwise you'll regret it) and the maybe you can ask if you can takes pills to decrease the pain. I'm not sure it's possible but maybe.

almost all my friend have one. and i have one since six year.
I dreamt about this tatoo since i was 14 years old. But my parents didn't want  .So i waited keeping dreaming about it  . With my dreams, my tatoo began more and more "perfect" and i wanted it more and more. When i was 18 years, i began obsessed by this tatoo. I wanted to cry when i was seing friends and their tatoos. Later, i met smeone who introduced me to his tatoo-maker. This guy studied drawings for 10 years he made cd pockets for big belgium bands and so on. He's wonderful. So we became friends ( i was seing him very often in concerts). I talked with him about my project he drew it, next we talked about the color. When i decided it was perfect, he made my tatoo. And as he was a friend he made me 50% discount :D . So since 6 years now, i've got a big black panther on my back.
And as i go to metal, punk or hardcore concerts, i 've got many friends who have tatoos and piercing.
In fact, i also have piercings (tongue, nostril, and when i was a teenager in the nose + all my earings).
So i know what i'm talking about. ;)
Sometimes i thing about doing another tatoo but ther's nothing else which interesses me as much as my 1st tatoo. I don't dream about something else and i'm not obsessed by anything else.
So my first advice is wait being obsessed by something before doing it 'cos' otherwise you'll regret it later. A tatoo is not like a piercing, you can't erase it or maybe with laser but you risk to keep big burning marks. (especially if you haven't as much money as Cher! :D )

We have so many tatoo places around my town, but I have never gotten the nerve to walk into one. I just see people with them and some are really nice.
You seem to be the person to ask about tatoos, and I'm glad I did ask you. But I think that I will probably never get one. The money and my age is not on my side. Especially the low tolerance of pain that I have.:)

Of course, more the tatoo is big and has colour, more it is expensive. I'v' been lucky to pay half the price. For the rest, the age doesn't matter! I know than in getting older, my tatoo will look less good, but you can make some retouch.
About the pain, it's your personnality, you have to see. But i think the best you can do is go to a tatoo shop, talk to people there. Take a look et their books.
Another advice: never say never!
