Steven Seagal's next career move...

I was thinking maybe it might be a good idea for him to consider TV now that his film stuff is straight to video. It wouldn't be a step down really, because there's a lot of quality, well-acted, gritty crime/action shows out there these days, e.g. The Shield, The Sopranos, Oz, 24, etc etc.

My #1 idea for a Seagal TV show?

a remake of the Equalizer TV series. I used to love that show. It would fit Seagal PERFECTLY. This is the plot of the old TV show starring Edward Woodward: an ex-CIA operator retires, and spends the rest of his life helping people (kind of like a vigilante) against thugs and criminals, in order to try to atone for his own sins committed while working for the government. It would be a natural extension of his big screen persona. And it would pay him just as well if not better than what he's getting for his film work right now (some of these TV stars get like $1 million per episode).

What do you guys think of this idea? Think about it... Seagal on TV every week! :D

Well this idea has been mentioned before-and maybe where he might end up if his movies no longer attract an audience for the production companies

Dear Kat, if I get lucky, perhaps! :D Maybe he will build it out here in Texas, only all the forests are in the east....

A good idea for one movie for SS:

He is kidnaped by aliens and they change his body with Jackie Chan's body and they both come back to earth with the body of each other. Then the only person who can save them is Jean-Claude Van Damme but he doesn't want to save them but then, Chuck Norris has a combat with Van Damme and if Chuck wins, Van Damme has to save Steven and Jackie. Of course, Chuck kicks Van Damme's ass and he has to save the other two.
But to complicate everything, Sylvester Stalonne comes to help Van Damme, however Van Damme says he doesn't need him and then.....

Hahaha!!!
I've had a better idea to use an old Russian fairy-tale and put Arnie,Steven and Sly together.

If he had a daily tv program I'd trade rooms with my brother and stay there close to the tv.

i love the ex files, he could do something like that, but reality instead of those stupid shows they have on now. his movies are more like reality. something that could really happen. keeps your interest going. stop the fear factor, etc. give us a story with a meaning to learn from like under seige and fire down below. i love him playing the good guy!!!!! :)

He is the good guy deep down, that's why I adore him so...He's everything to me, and I understand that he really wants to change the world for the better...And I know he can play any role he wants, he just doesn't get the recognition he deserves or the support from those around him in the business...His movies have sincere messages in them, and I really think if everyone would take the time to notice what he's trying to say, we would all be a lot better off...I think his work is wonderful...:)

Ok, on top of the Equalizer idea, I had another even better idea...

I think Seagal should do a remake of the old TV series called "The Master" with Lee Van Cleef (RIP). I remember this TV series very fondly, and I don't think they would have to change many of the details for Seagal to become the NEW "Master"... Here's the imdb description of the show for anyone who's never seen it:

"John Peter Macallister, was a Korean veteran who after serving, decided to live in Japan, and while there, he studied Ninjitsu and became a Ninja. 30 years later he learned that he has a daughter, so left, to find her. But apparently, he can't leave the sect that he is with, cause it means that he is now marked for death. He manages to escape and upon arriving in the States, he meets Max Keller, a drifter who has a penchant for getting involved with other people's problems and helping them out if he can. Max and Macallister hook up with Max helping him find his daughter, and Macallister teaching him the ways of the ninja. At the same evading Okasa, one of Macallister's students who is now sworn to kill him."

Basically what I'm saying is Seagal should play a NINJA!

I mean it's a no brainer, the guy already dresses in black... :)
