Tattoos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have six at the present time and want to get more in the near future..My biggest one is on my right arm-from the shoulder to the elbow-the whole bicep..That one is a black and grey tribal design with a very human looking skull(with realistic eyes) and a sword shoved through the length of his head and with all of his teeth showing-including vampire teeth up front..I have 2 on my left bicep, one on my left shoulder and one on my right calf(my name in Japanese calligraphy) and one on the left side of my chest(a grim reaper shoving a sword through a heard and tearing it apart)..I want to get a huge MEDUSA in the middle of my back but have yet to find the best looking one--ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A REAL GOOD AND SCARY LOOKING ONE..?

Not to rain on a person's joyous parade but I have many patients with complications from tattoos
The tattooers often are not licensed, Hep c and a few cases of HIV have shown up in my and my colleagues patients
months after their tattoo. Also getting thm off if you change your mind is a mess.

There are some unlicensed tattoo artists out there and you should never get one from an artist that you have not checked out his studio first and be sure that he is licensed and uses new needles and gloves and cleans all the tattoo machines in an autoclave machine..
I would never get a tattoo from just a novice artist..I always go to well known and respected artists for mine..

Nah, I'm a good guy Lotussan and I'm not one who goes around showing them off all the time..I dont like attention and most of my tatts are almost coverer up..I like tatts but I dont like being questioned by them if someone sees them and wonders what the meaning behind them are-there is no meaning; they're just designs that I liked..There's a guy in the New York area that does really dark and scary stuff named Paul Booth..I really would like to get my medusa done by him..Most people who know tattoo artists will know this guy-he is a scary guy himself..

I know thats why I'll only goto a highly recomended and praised artist.
ANd I will also check their license.
THeir tools, if they use an autoclave or a whole knew tool.
Like I said I've been plannin' for quite awhile.
And if there is one thing I am, it's careful.

I've seen some really bad things happen from
"clean" and licensed places. When I checked one the guy turned out
to be a Hep C patient. I don't think you can be too careful or that sure.

Its gonna be a while before i get that one done: when I have money to throw away again and right now I dont..
I'm still looking for the perfect MEDUSA FACE to use for the tattoo..Anyone who knows where I can find one would be greatly appreciated..I would like it to be a black n grey tatt with maybe a marble like look to her face with black soulless eyes and a mossy green hair of snakes with piercing eyes. I'm gonna put it in the center of my back..If you guys help me find the perfect Medusa I can always say I got it with a little help from my Seagal family..

They're both cool, very art nouveau. Eyes aren't soulless, though; or not soulless enough?

What do you think, Mike?

I kinda wondered about that also TD. However, I guess it's a little difficult to get depth perception from a picture of a guy's shoulder and back, eh? ;) - Serena.

Hi all,

Been lurking/working!

I've got four tattoos. Eagle on upper right arm, dragon & black rose on upper left arm, Dragon on lower inside right forearm, Wizard w/crystal ball on left inside forearm. They each signify a period/phase of my life and mean alot to me.

I did some tattooing while in the Marine Corps, so I'll concur with those who spoke of unclean conditions at some parlors. Each State/jurisdiction regulates tattooing differently. Caveat Emptor (buyer beware) is the best approach. Personally, I wouldn't go to someone whose work I haven't seen "On the street", and whose parlor I hadn't checked. In the late eighties I met an artist who didn't even change needles after each customer! When the artist begins with you, ensure he/she opens a new package of needle(s), and uses an antiseptic rinse throughout the process. Alcohol is preferred (although painful) but have seen guys use Listerine, etc...

My last (the Wizard & Dragon on forearms) were done by a guy named Lynn Sabol. Last I heard he is in California somewhere. This guy is excellent! Comes from a graphic arts background before he got into tattooing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! :)

Well life channel has something on tattoos everyonce inawhile and I'm lucky enough to catch em, and memorize the faces of good artists
Merlin eh?
Nice ta' see ya post Dave.

I always enjoy a little research, Mike. Thanks for the project. :)
