Chainsaws
Only the original...
This story is an account the tragedy that befell four youths, in particular Sally Hardesty and her invalid brother Franklin. It is all the more tragic in that they were young. But had they lived very, very long lives, they could not have imagined, nor would they have wished to see, as much of the mad and macabre as they were to see that day. For them, an idyllic summer afternoon became one of the worst and most grisly nightmares in the annals of American history. It was the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE!
That's the intro to the film as best I can remember it. It's definitely the finest horror film ever made! If you haven't seen this "originator of modern horror," you should check it out. I've only seen it like 1000 times, almost as much as I've watched any of Seagal's movies. Directed by Tobe Hooper.
Not far behind this as best horror films are The Exorcist, Re-Animator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Scream, Evil Dead II, and Psycho. The Ring was also really scary!
What a great new thread!
