Well Jet Li's Danny The Dog wasnt going to be released in Denmark.. but at the filmfestival last night at 00.00 pm they showed the French version with English Languagetrack & French subtitles. It is awesome, I was glad that I had this 1 chance to see it at the cinema.

Brilliant acting from all of them & hardcore, bonecrushing fightscenes (the best I have ever seen in an Jet Li film) The storyline was allso much better put in the script than I expected, so I was totaly surprised when I left the cinema. It allso said Danny The Dog on the screen when the film started & not Unleashed as it said on my ticket. :D:D I cant wait to see the Unrated dvd October 11th

Yes, the movie is great, with an emotional touch very nice. And the cast are great, Bo Hoskins & Morgan Freeman are fantastic.

In my opinion, the best Jet Li movie ´till now.Even better than¨The one¨, cool too.Luc Besson was very smart making Danny the Dog

Jet Li to stop making action movies !?

"Chinese superstar Jet Li is retiring from Kung Fu films because he wants to be recognized as an actor, rather than a martial arts expert. The Hero star, 42, told students at China's prestigious Fudan University he is keen to make more philosophical movies, and would welcome another collaboration with French director Luc Besson. And he promises his latest movie Fearless, will be his final foray into the genre: "I've said more than once this will be my last martial arts film." Li has over 20 movies in the pipeline but insists he will "shoot whichever comes into fruition first."

Thanks for the info. His next film is called Fearless which is a prelude to Fist Of Legend. It is a pure Martial Arts film which looks like it is going to be one of his best films if not the best. But we will see what's in store for Jet after this film is made. ;)

Breaking News: Jet Li Will Continue Doing Action Movies
Jet Li's FEARLESS Premiؘd in Beijing (MonkeyPeaches Exclusive)

January 20, 2006

(Sina.com)

Breaking News: During an interview with Chinese newspaper Nanfang Daily, Jet Li said he would no longer making any more wushu movie because, what he wanted to say about wushu through movies had all been said. There was nothing more to say about wushu, in another word, he could no longer show wushu on a higher level. But, he would continue doing action movies and kung fu movies. His words were misinterpreted by the media. He said action, kung fu and wushu were three different concepts. His The Tai-Chi Master was a movie about a man reaching a new state through wushu. Action movies, as well as kung fu movies, only took the form of wushu.

A press conference was held in Beijing at 10 am today and Jet Li donated 500,000 yuans (US$62 thousands) from the proceed to "Sunshine in Your Heart Project" run by Red Cross Society of China. the film was premiؘd tonight at Beijing's Oriental Plaza. (Thanks to Jet Liang.)

Title photo: (L to R) Dong Yong, the young actress played Jet Li's daughter, producer Chui Po-Chu, Sun Li, Collin Chou, action director Yuen Wo-Ping, director Ronny Yu, Jet Li and Guo Changjiang, Vice-Chairman of Red Cross Society of China.

I've found these MOV trailers for Fearless :
Teaser
Trailer

Well last night i watched Fearless. I thought it was a great movie. There were still quite a few scenes where it was noticable wires were used, but overall the martial arts sequences were superb. The plot was pretty easy to follow and i though Jet Li's performance was pretty good. It felt as if at times part of the plot was cut. We don't find out what happened to his father in the movie except that he died.

The whole Michelle Yeoh sub-plot was cut out, she didn't even appear in the final cut. I think this was about 50 minutes of the movie!

Overall this movie is certainly on a par with Once Upon A Time In China.

It's worth mentioning an entire fight sequence was cut as well where Jet fights a Thai boxer.

I' am very upset at the news the Hong Kong DVD will not include english subtitles, which means I will have to wait for the Wein Co. version, which means, it will be cut, first Hero, now this, why does Harv continue to do this to us asian cinema fans?
