Seagal is my favorite martial artist, but I dont know if he is the best or not. That is all matter of opinion, but in my opinion, he is the best.

He is not. Masters such as Bruce Lee, Morehei Ueshiba, Helio Graice, Rickson Gracie, Mas Oyama, Gichin Funakoshi are among the elite.

Mark Dacascos has gotta win it by far! didnt know alot about him until i saw his films. watch a film called "Drive" and you will be blown away :) stars in the tv series of "the crow" aswell. and in Cradle2thegrave with Jet Li.
mark was a kung fu / karate champion in europe a couple of times i think.

shame that muay thai fighter from the film "Ong Bak" isnt in the votes as he kicks ass :)

Hey Ice Cool welcome to the forum!!

Mark D. is a great Martial Artist. As far as if you want to introduce him to a person who has never seen him before I suggest they watch Only The Strong, Crying Freeman, and Kickboxer 5 because in my opinion those are the movies which he performs the best in. ;)

Nice to see that Seagal is well in the lead. I assume Bruce Lee isn't there because of the simple fact he's dead, it's a poll of the best fighters today. I agree though Van Damme should be on there too.

Regarding Jet Li his films always frustrate me. We all know he can do this stuff for real but they take every opportunity to put him up on wires and make his fights look stupid, awkward and disjointed. Maybe if he was allowed to actually do his stuff for real on-screen he'd be taken more seriously.

And Jean-Claude Van Damme? But i became very disappointed about him because i heard he had used cocaine for a long time.what happended with him? I think he couldnt find peace and harmony and love and.... with martial arts.Its sad...

Although I enjoy some of Van Damme's films, Van Damme is nothing special as a Martial Artist, he is strong and flexible thats about it.
