Above The Law
Just believing in God and religion is enough instead of asking which one is the right one, if you believe in one that is the one you will believe in..

JUST FOR TODAY, LORD

I will live through the next
12 hours and not try to tackle
all of life's problems at once.

I will improve my mind. I
will learn something that
requires effort, thought and
concentration.

I will be agreeable. I will
look my best, speak in a well-
modulated voice, be courteous
and considerate.

I will not find fault with
friend, relative or colleague.
I will not try to change or
improve anyone but myself.

I will have a program. I
might not follow it exactly,
but I will have it. I will save
myself from two enemies-
hurry and indecision.

I will do a good turn and
keep it a secret. If anyone
finds out, it won't count.

I will do two things I don't
want to do, just for the
exercise.

I will believe in myself. I
will give my best to the world
and feel confident that the
world will give its best to me.

I heard a new song on the radio that really touched my heart. I think it could be used here too on this section.

BY YOUR SIDE
~by Jamie Slocum

And I know there's a plan for you
Your life has a purpose
There's hope beyond your broken road
Jesus set a place for you
At the front of the table with the weary
and the wounded
And He's showing the way, the truth,
the life for every day
So when you lose your way

CHORUS:
Don't give up, don't give in
This is a race you can win
Everytime you get passed by
There is a reason why
God loves and believes in you
He knows the pain you're going through
He's with you every step of the way
And He's by your side

When your life comes crashing in
You're a ship without a sail
Everything you've tried has failed you
Never thought you'd feel so sad
It's a nightmare without end
It's getting harder to defend it
God will send his heavenly host to fight
for you and help you walk on through it

CHORUS:
Don't give up, don't give in
This is a race you can win
Everytime you get passed by
There is a reason why
God loves and believes in you
He knows the pain you're going through
He's with you every step of the way
And He's by your side
By your side every day every night

Repeat chorus 2x

God is Wonderful and Almighty
I dedicate to all my friends here this song and I'm sure that who listens...never forget this!
I See The Lord
By Ron Kenoly

I see the Lord, I see the Lord,

Exalted high upon the worship
Of the people of the earth
I see the Lord, I see the Lord,
My eyes have seen the King
The Lamb upon the throne
Who reigns forevermore

The train of His robe
Fills the temple
A cloud of heavenly worshipers
Surrounding His throne
We join with them now crying
"Holy, holy is the Lamb
The Lamb alone"

Forever and ever, forever and ever
Forever and ever
Forever and evermore
Forevermore

My eyes have seen the King
The Lamb upon the throne
Who reigns forevermore!!
God bless all of us

We went to a family reunion last week. They have been having this reunion for over eighty years. It was so neat to see the legacy they have left from one generation to another of love for God. Many have become pastors, and missionaries.
They all sang two songs that mean a lot to everyone there.

FAITH OF OUR FATHERS
~Fredrick W. Faber
Henri F. Hemy

Faith of our fathers, living still in spite of dungeon,
Fire and sword-oh how our hearts beat high with joy
when-e'er we hear that glorious word!

CHORUS:
Faith of our fathers,
Holy faith,
We will be true to thee till death!

Our fathers, chained in prisons dark,
were still in heart and conscience free;
How sweet would be their children's fate
If they, like them, could die for thee!

Repeat Chorus

Faith of our fathers, we will love both friend and foe in all our strife;
And preach to thee too, as love knows how,
By kindly words and virtuous life.

Repeat CHORUS

I KNOW TO WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED
~Daniel Whittle and James McGranahan

I know not why God's wonderous grace to me
He has made known, nor why unworthy,
Christ in love Redeemed me for His own.

CHORUS:
But "I know whom I have believed,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day."

I know not how this saving faith
To me He did in part, Nor how believing in His Word
Wrought peace within my heart.

Repeat CHORUS

I know not how the Spirit moves,
Convincing men of sin,
Revealing Jesus through Word,
Creating faith in Him

Repeat CHORUS

I know not what of good or ill
May be reserved for me,
Of weary ways or golden days
Before His face I see

Repeat CHORUS

I know not when my Lord may come-
At night or noon-day fair,
Nor if I'll walk the vale with Him
Or meet Him in the air

CHORUS:
But "I know whom I have believed,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day."

Iwould rather be a flame that warms and leads people to safety, A bringer of food and healing. Shouting about the shoulds and should nots doesn't help people any and preaching certainly sours the stomach no matter how kindly meant. Preaching usually convinces the listener that the speaker is in doubt about themselves.

No one likes to be told what to do. some things you just need to decide for yourself.
I think everyone wants to be "a flame to lead others to safety." Some people feel "called" to tell others what they know, wether that is a preacher, teacher, a parent to a child, or any one of us here sharing from the heart. If that makes any sense.

My quotes I found listed above were not meant to preach. I just wanted to share them. I found many humorous. I like to make people smile at any topic, or I at least like to try.

Thank the good Lord above for calling on preachers and teachers, otherwise most of us who are Heaven bound wouldn't be bound to Heaven.
