YOU HOPE HE HIT ROCK BOTTOM?
What a thing to say.
With fans like that who needs enemies?
Sorry, I didn't mean it like that, I worded what I said very badly. What I meant was that I hoped that after The Foreigner and OFAK his films would get better and not worse. Many stars have peaks and troughs in their careers and I what I meant was that I hoped this was the end of (what I considered to be) his low point. As I said before, Belly was a much better film, so things are definitely looking up.
I'm a true Steven Seagal fan and would not say anything against him, but I hope he isn't afraid of a little constructive criticism now and again. Although Belly wasn't as good as Under Siege or Out for Justice, I still enjoyed it, but I unfortnately got very little pleasure from his previous two.

Much better Ritchie, I understand what you mean't now...
I won't hurt him ever, I won't even put my toe in if it might hurt him, I just can't knowingly do that.

suzi, I know you love him, I am with you!
You know he is the most beautiful man!
Of course you are not my enemy, I love you my friend!
I am just hurting to read these things, I feel toooooo much for him, that is all.
I do not see such things about him to be bad, I am sorry if no one can understand this.
Maybe I am seeing him through my eyes with too much love, and that is all...:)
I told you I saw in BOTB his hair looked messy one time, this I saw, it was hard for me to tell this but it was truth...
But where in OFAK, I still don't know where...
Suzi you are soooo sweet and wonderful you know this!
Love....:)

On this board, you can bet your sweet bippy we all have a right to our opinions!! But please, if you don't like a film, say so and then forget it, don't try to beat the subject to death!! I'm sure about 98% of us get sick and tired of reading the same criticizing post after post after post!

Some on this board tend to forget that this is a Steven Seagal Web Site!
He may never see anything written here or perhaps, just maybe, he might!
Who knows??? I for one would be very embarrassed for him to read some of the posts! Criticism is fine, to a point, but it does have a tendency to get run into the ground here! Doesn't the "almighty press" do enough to him, must we have to read it post after post here?

Just my opinion!!!
God bless,

Mama - this doesn't come near enough to the number of continuous "I love Steven and he is god and sexy and...." posts, and at least it's trying to stay on topic - not being hijacked by the "I love Steven and he is god and sexy and...." posts.

Which one do you think he likes better, people?
Maybe my posts after post, is just the idea, jhogan, hmmmmm?
I will not sit here and put up with the criticism and the insults to this great man, I will defend him and show him my love in every way I can, and if someone doesn't like it then they can refer to Jack Taggert! And by the way,
I mean every word that I say, even if you guys don't believe it...
I am entitled to my opinion and you all are entitled to yours!

See, this is where the problem is.
We are NOT insulting Seagal, we are criticising his MOVIE. There is a difference, and the sooner all of the "I love Steven to death, and the way his hair flows in the wind" posters get that, we can have an interesting board that has a variety of opinions, and that MAYBE, just MAYBE, people will stay around. I have been around since the creation of the official site, and, frankly, and getting a little tired of reading the "I love Seagal's beautiful hands" posts ALL THE TIME IN EVERY THREAD, and the constant criticisms of those that dare to offer a differing opinion.

Whew.... I fell better...

Lotus,

Thank you very much I am sure you understand what I mean. Of course we should protect him against his enemies. I don't believe that people who are making critics here don't do it on purpose. I want to believe this.
Because Steven is very special for us and we like this amazing big guy !!

Seagal

Well as the starter of the thread I have to agree with Jhogan and say that we're in no way criticising Seagal. He's my favourite star in the world and if you look close none of my complaints about Out For a Kill had anything specifically to do with The Master as it was by no means his fault the film was so bad. On the contrary he was by far the best thing about the film. I'm just saying the film compared to his others well, sucked, because the director and the editors made a total mess of it much like they did with The Foreigner. As a dedicated Seagal fan I'd rather point out where films are going wrong than drool all over The Master saying how wonderful he is. Out For a Kill was a bad film, I won't say it was when it just plainly isn't, and as Seagal fans I think it's part of our duty to try and stop bad directors from digging our hero into a hole he may never recover from if people like Oblo-bobblo-fobblo-witz keep directing him in atrocities like this. If Seagal did happen to read these pages (but to be honest I think he has much bigger fish to fry like making movies and stuff) I'm sure I'd rather he reads how bad Out For a Kill and The Foreigner were in the hope he'll never team with Oblowitz again rather than read how much we loved them as this will only incite more of the same. Bring on more Belly of the Beasts and far less Out For a Kills.

come get some
I didn't like Out for a Kill OR Belly of the Best, but still I'd say he's much better off working with the Belly director than Oblovitz again...

I really dont like his new style of movies with everything so advanced in computer technology. However I thought OUT FOR A KILL plot and action was much more entertaining than BELLY OF THE BEAST.

I have some(many) problems with this film as well, but my biggest is the CHEAP ASS BULLET TIME EFFECTS! The worst I've ever seen.

Bullet effects

Well everyone and his sister seems to want to copy a certain sci-fi trilogy these days, a series which I seem to be in the minority in not liking a great deal. The bullet effect in the early stages of Out For a Kill just seemed out of place and wrong.

topic: OFAK's success and other stuff

That's a daring user name "seagalisfat" but very funny. I couldn't stop laughining for a few minutes out of such a surprise. It will be interesting how other members will refer to you (unless you give them some name) when they need to reply to something you said.

Interesting how all the posts seem to be right on topic don't they steve?

Nu Image have never been the bringer of good films, Rutger Hauer used to make good films before they got their hands on him. Sadly one of Steven's upcoming films, I think it may be Out of Reach, is also made by them. One more point about Out For a Kill is that it looks nowhere near its 20 million budget - did Oblowitz spend 10 million and pocket the surplus or something? I heard they actually ran out of money making the film which is why it's so bad in places but how can a film for 20 million exceed this amount and end up looking as if it was made for pennies?

out for a kill cost 14 million and belly cost 18 million if i remember right........out of reach is not nu image its franchise pivture and screen gems(imdb)

Out For a Kill

Thanks Rastafafi, that probably explains why it looked cheap, I heard Out For a Kill was more around 20 mill but 14 mill sounds more close to the mark.

Smile dammit!
Hi Steve.I don't agree that OFAK is so bad and BOTB is so good. It's better, but Steven is showing his age these days.It comes to us all...

get the point?

see Lotussan, there's such a thing as a sense of humour
at that point in time, I sensed some humour in it
you however, do not sense any

what's funny now, is your response to it and how you are getting mad at me
I find it damn funny
and if you ask me again, I'll say it again - it was and still is funny TO ME!!!
