Well, at least it looks like it should be better than Maximum Conviction, which I thought was one of Seagal's all time worst (Can you say BORING!).
To be honest, the last good movie Seagal came out with IMO was Machete, and that wasn't even a Seagal movie.
Before that the last honestly good movie was Urban Justice.
All of the movies in between UJ and now are a big blur to me. The one where he played an alcoholic was decent, I forgot the title. Other than that they range from "bad" to just "meh".
Trailer is action packed, but it seems like Seagal will have the same amount of screentime as in Force Of Execution, which while better than Maximum Conviction, was overly convoluted and just plain weird, like the scene where Danny Trejo starts using some Voodoo magic or something.
There was no character to root for, it started with Seagal's character, who was not one bit likeable, then they introduced Bren Foster's character, and then Danny Trejo came along. It was just very confusing.
I have a feeling that A Good Man will suffer from the same, since in the trailer it seems like a lot of the action is between other characters than Seagal.
And I know this is beating a dead horse even mentioning his weight. But he just looks so sad in the promo pictures. All bloated and miserable looking. And he just keeps covering himself more and more, now he's got the big goatee, that bandana/doorag, hats, sunglasses, combat gear. In some scenes in FOE you could barely see him. To add insult to injury he was even dubbed in some of those scenes.
So nowadays when you rent a Steven Seagal movie, he's barely even in half of the movie, and when he's on screen he's covered up and dubbed.
I'm sorry to be so negative, but I am just very dissapointed with the stuff he puts out.
