Another Question-: What Happened To The Seagal Projects "House Of Thunder" and ......

it's possible but I don't think so.....after US....Seagal had his head set on doing a message film(eco-film)......Warner figured it would be a heck of alot cheaper filming in US Alaska than it would be in Brazil....so Seagal in turn got his way to do a eco-film....but then I could be wrong.....much info in the internet is mis-dated and some is totally inacurate.......I usually piece together things from various sources to try and get a picture of what and where things took place....'98??????
that would have been after the expiration of the Warner contract....you mean you think that after House of Thunder never came about he opted to do "The Patriot"?????????????
possible I suppose...

Actually, after "Man of Honor" was pulled Seagal was offered his first directing job in "On Deadly Ground". He was set to direct "Man Of Honor" and when it was pulled by Roth of Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros jumped in and offered Seagal his directing debut with ODG. Man Of Honor was weeks into filming and Seagal even put some of his own money into the project and a big money backer(I think from Saudi Arabia or somwhere pulled his money from the film). Seagal actually sued this guy a few years back for 30 million( I dont know if there ever was an outcome)

Impact: After the huge success of Under Siege, we were surprised when Twentieth Century Fox pulled the plug on Men Of Honor, which was SUPPOSED to be your directorial debut. Can you shed any light on why that film didn't happen?

Steven Seagal: I can't really shed much light on it because I don't think anybody knows the answer to that. When Joe Roth quit, they put a god damn television guy in charge of the studio. Fox don't make a lot of pictures to begin with. They've had Home Alone and, in my opinion, that's about it. Joe Roth quit, and HE knew how to make movies. When he quit, they put in a television guy. I think that's the answer, but nobody really knows. At that time and from then on till this day, anybody who wants to make a movie with me can do so at almost any price, as you'll know if you read the trades. It just didn't make sense to anybody.
