The latest photo: It was taken April 2004, and please look at this photo,
Does he looks like sick ???? I don't think so !! Please don't make speculation about him !!
It is my opinion !!

in onenessss

I'd say he looks bored more than anything else. And it does look like he's gained back all the weight he lost last summer. I know, I know... I shouldn't say anything about that. It's just really hard on the heart for his weight to yo-yo like that.

Steven is a treasure, Serena, he's got a heart of gold and I love him...
TD, I still don't think he looks like he's gained anything...
To me his face looks slimmer if anything...
I think a lot of his weight is just puffiness, but I could be wrong...
Thanks for the encouragement all, I'll try not to worry myself to death now...:)

Breathing

To be honest it was very clearly post production breathing added on afterwards for some kind of effect. The breathing was always segregated from the location noise and sounded very much added-on. Plus it didn't even sound like Seagal doing the breathing - a fact definitely proven when the same sound effect is used over a shot where Leon, a totally different character, is on-screen toward the end. Rest assured everyone it wan't him panting, film-makers of multi-million dollar level just don't leave in unwanted bodily noises unless they want them in the film.

Why add it as an extra effect? What's the symbolism?

Steve, the sound effects were not great at all, they weren't just good, and they were even almost good. Even if that panting was added on, what were they trying to show? That Seagal's character is old (perhaps just wise) and has troubles going up a step but still can kick everybody's ass - because if that was the case, I gotta say that the movie would've belonged in a comedy class of its own. IMO: the story was good, the scenery was good (except that train station - they could've been more creative, except for that rolling cart that Seagal's character jumped on to and started shooting while the cart was moving at the end of the fighting), the choreography was good; all the special effects, directing (although not nearly as bad as in OFAK), and overall attention to detail on the other hand were not well done.

Belly of the Beast

Well Yudansha your guess is as good as mine as to what the panting sound effects were supposed to be about, editors look everywhere for ambience of some kind to fill in dead air and the panting here seemed like one they always turned to in time of need. That said, I really enjoyed the film and I didn't think any of the other sound in the film was below par, the music in particular I thought was excellent and one of the best scores I've ever heard in a Seagal film, it really gave the great fight scenes a good beat. I have to disagree about the train scene, I thought it was one of the film's best scene, really well choreographed, very bloody and with the slo-mo in all the right places unlike Oblofoblowitz. We're not looking for symmetry in every shot here, we're just looking for a decent action film with good camerawork and lots of thrills and I think Belly of the Beast delivered on all accounts.

yes and no and but ...

The background music is not sound effects. By sound effects I mean the noises that things make upon impact or the gunfire, things in that range.

The train scene was good - what I said was that the scenery could have been improved. They just had old trains standing still like it was a dump site - that sort of thing is overdone and was very unoriginal.

Yes, choreography was well done (and I did compliment on that). It made a good movie to spend time watching, but ...

Maybe Seagal gets his kick just like Morrison.
Hmmmm....that could be the secret to his sweet sounding voice.

I don't know what the breathing is all about, I just hope it's not indicitive of a problem, because that would make me sad...:( It wouldn't matter though, I mean his health does matter, but it wouldn't change my love...
But of course who wants someone they love to have a problem?
It's heartbreaking...
Then again, he's only human...
I hope all is well with him, I can't stress that enough, but I don't think we should be guessing, about it...
If that photo suzi is mentioning was taken on the 2nd then he looks like he's fine...I certainly hope so, because I have a lot of love to share with him...:)
