Highlander: The Source

I just received the Russian-DVD of Higlander 5: The source. I will watch it tomorrow and tell you guys what I think about the movie. I`m sure it won`t be as good as the original. Because of the absence of Christopher Lambert.
But, Hey! who knows.

Dude - I await your review with baited breath! I'm a massive fan of Highlander - didn't even know they were making or had made a fifth movie! I see Adrian Paul is in it - that's awesome!

Ok. I just finished watching HIGHLANDER:THE SOURCE

The Story follows Duncan Mc Leod (Adrian Paul) and his immortal friends (thats right, friends) searching for the Source in the near future. The Source is protected by the Gardian. Thats it. Thats The Story.

The movie is pretty well done. The CGI effects are amazing! The movie has the same look as Highlander 2. But with better effects. The Cinematography is beautiful. Also the beheading-Scenes are well done. Bu the main problem of the flick is the Story. There is nothing special about it .


One thing I really hated in the movie was the Gardian. He looked like a fool and had the power to move like FLASH. I mean whats that ****?! I`m looking a Highlander movie and not Power Rangers!

These are the things I really missed:
- Christopher Lambert
- The Highlands
- Cool Sword-Fight
- A better Story

I give 6.5 beheadings out of 10.

About the fights. Yes there are a few fights. They are well done. There is a scene where he fights a few guys at the dock. But almost all of the fights and Swordfights are speeded-up.

I red that the US-DVD comes out in Septermber 07. A few months to go.

Highlander without Christopher Lambert is not Highlander !

Christopher Lambert makes the Highlander movies work...

The rest is not good ...

Just my humble opinion on this subject.
