My Rant: MAny of you hold a bias when it comes to the quality of Seagals films!

Members can idolize Seagal as they do with other actors but we also have talked many times about how certain ones of his movies were better than others.

Well, so far I've seen four of his films, and none of those have been dogs. My only complaint about The Glimmer Man is that he was being unnecessarily self-conscious about his weight, and doing silly things like hiding behind filing cabinets, tricky camera angles, loose clothing, that sort of thing.

His movies are what they are. Great art they may not be, but a lot of fun to watch, certainly. And they have elements in them that one doesn't usually see in action films, and I like the way he portrays his on-screen characters (when not in fighting mode), with quiet strength and even dignity. (I notice, for example, that except for ordering - but never actually consuming - a strong drink in Under Seige II, his characters don't abuse substances - a nice change of pace from the usual, I think).

Of course, there is no question he is *extremely* easy to look at, and what can anyone have against that?
