Really? I was unaware that we were "attacking" anyone. I simply stated what I
have been assured to be the truth of the situation! I consider the source to
be a reliable one!
As for Steven not responding to any of "these" forums, he didn't respond to
his fans on his own web site, so why should anyone expect him to respond
here?

Hmm... this is interesting. Looks like the lads are lining up on one side of the debate, and the ladies on the other.
I have observed that nearly everyone is in agreement - males and females alike - that Kelly LeBrock is a beautiful woman. And why? Because it was obvious - at least in the early days - that Kelly loved Steven and Steven loved Kelly.
However, it seems only the men fancy Arissa as a beauty. And aren't they quick to jump up and defend her?
Kokoro, you suggest that personality makes or breaks beauty. Casey pointed out the more than just slightly suspicious circumstances of Arissa's hooking up with Steven. Barely eighteen years old, she hightails it up to Montana to console the broken-hearted husband of her supposed best friend and employer, gets herself knocked up almost immediately upon arrival, and lives high on the hog from that day forward, effectively - and from photos, triumphantly - taking the place of her erstwhile friend as the consort of a rich man.
The women see this; the men apparently do not. In that regard, she is very successful as a "beauty" because she inspires such protective feelings in the menfolk. Darwinism is working in her favour as far as the men are concerned. The women, however, see her in a completely different light, and that casts a shadow on her supposed "beauty".
It's true she's been with Steven longer now than he was married to Kelly (I think - Casey, you'd know?). But with Kelly he had three children. He likes kids; moreover, he seems to like bringing kids into the world. How come only one child with her? There could, of course, be extenuating reasons - she can't have any more, she doesn't want any more (one's enough to ensure lavish support payments, should he ever decide to dump her), he doesn't want any more. So it's hard to say just from appearances.
He also has not married her. I read recently that, I think it was the 61st rule of Buddhism, a person shouldn't marry except to his or her equal or better.
Miyako Fujitani was his equal (and possibly better). (Adrienne LaRusso I don't know anything about, and she hardly counts, anyhow.) Kelly LeBrock was definitely his equal. Arissa? Hmm.
I am fascinated by how people behave and interact with one another, and speculating on a visible and public relationship is, for me, as an observer of human nature and a writer (at least for the time being), fair game.
Observations, speculation and deduction on human nature and behaviour do not constitute an "attack" unless one chooses to look at it that way. I'm sorry if you think what I've been saying falls into the category of "attack". It's not meant that way.
And, Littledragon, this isn't exactly a hijack of the thread. You didn't say we couldn't *discuss* the pictures you posted!

Go back and read some of the comments made about Arissa. I consider those comments as an attack on her and her family. You'll all (most)sit there and defend Seagal on any negativity posted, then go ahead and bitch about his partner and state she's no good for him & bla bla bla. If you seem to know her and her motives so well, tell her to hit the road next time you meet for coffee!!

I used to have a dog name Sandy that looked just like Arissa. I'm not saying that to be funny-its true..
That being said; I dont think Seagal picked her for her beauty. She looks like a white Chinese lady. I think she treats him well though and really believes in him.

The mechanism I've developed over the years to deal with people making me the butt of their jokes for being so physically unattractive is that I have become perhaps a little too analytical about what are considered standards of beauty (and why I fail to live up to them), and why and how people become attracted to one another because of them (or in spite of them), as if said attraction were something that could be analysed.
I suppose that's why some folks think I'm jealous or mean-spirited when I speak up on the subject of who's beautiful and who isn't. I examine beauty the same way I examine character (and there are many women I admire for their beauty, so the comment about jealousy doesn't apply), and what I'm saying is nothing more than expressing my opinion as a matter of taste, no different than any woman thinking this man is handsome, while that man isn't, nor any man thinking this woman is beautiful while that one isn't.
