In the early years I put my counter on a page into the site also...so I could get an idea of how many people actually went past page one or the "index.html" page.....you can get free counters in many places.......but it's the same catch....there will be some kind of advertising or promotional thing......also if you want more "hits"......many of the search engines still allow people to "add your site" to their listings....it'll take a few weeks before it picks up but if you use as many keywords as possible....you'll get more 'visits" or "hits" as they are called.....also if you put a "meta-tag" in your pages ....that will help also...it's just a simple code that contains as many "keywords" as you want...and you can keep adding to them if you like.....put in for example: "Seagal, Steven Seagal, Aikido, Martial Arts, etc...put in all the names of his movies,wifes, etc...anything you can think of that people may do a "search" by.......

Well........2 ways.......
One ....you can copy and modify the code I posted.......and then insert it into your page........
or
Two....all PC's have disk drives.....one could just download the program directly to a disk and not a PC....and then run it right from a disk you could take anywhere and run from any computer....it is a very small program download.....
I'll check on the search engines for "add sites"..
