a question for uk seagal fans glimmer man etc(because i find the uk fans applaud and critizize seagal which is good)about the 2 stv films.what are you expecting from these films given the small budget that they have and not great directors what are your hopes for these films?....may view is that ofak will be a letdown like foreinger but for some reason botb i am looking forward to and i can see it being seagals best for for quite a while.i just hope the sets dont look cheap(like ticker) as both films have 20 mil budget as did foreinger but it looked well made and looked like it could have been released in cinemas.

I'm not too sure what to expect anymore, I just pray that Seagal gets involved a bit more in the Fights, the fights are more frequent (not just one or two), and the director doesn't make a pigs ear of the story like he did on The foreigner. but what we will probably get is Steven in BIG heavy coats, body doubles, not a lot of fighting, terrible story, terrible direction.

But I can't wait for Steven to get back with Warners for Yakuza and maybe Under siege 3, but by the time he makes them he should be about 60, and the body double will be doing overtime.

i agree with you in a way but with botb he was the director of hero with jt li so there should be some good fights.i must admit seagal needs warner more than ever now.

Rasta - Personally, I really enjoyed Foreigner, although I found it slightly too long. I would have preferred it if Half Past Dead had gone straight to video and Foreigner had been given a theatre release - I think it would have been better received. Half Past Dead was seen by most critics (myself included) as little more than a third rate re-hash of The Rock, but Foreigner delved into political action thriller territory, made you think a little harder and looked a lot more professional. With a bit more cash behind it to iron out some of the obvious budget limitations, it could have been tranformed from a good, watchable movie into an excellent one. So - in answer to your question - I am looking forward to the movies, first and foremost because regardless of whether or not they are STV movies, they are Seagal movies, and I will always find positive aspects of every film he makes. I have already ordered Out For A Kill and am just waiting impatiently for the release date now. As for Belly Of The Beast - as soon as I can order it, I will.
