Question About The Foreigner

Hey!

I have a question regarding The Foreigner. While the story bears similarities to Ronin and Transporter, does the film's story make sense? I mean is it just various things thrown together for effect(To make it look intelligent)? Or do all the scenes connect, and make sense in the end?

I have seen almost all of Steven Segal's films, and I haven't really seen an intelligent one. While he has some great films, they are quite simple when it comes to the plot.

After watching The Foreigner at least half a dozen times everytime I think I've got the story figured out something happens to throw me off. It's fairly easy to follow until all the double crosses/triple crosses happen. At the end of the day the story doesn't make too much sense but it doesn't help that the film was badly put together and edited.

Actually the ending helped a little but the plot was very confusing...
However I thought he did a very good acting job, he was quite impressive, and I really enjoyed the film even though the plot was somewhat thick...
Or maybe I'm just a little bit thick, LOL...

Nick - I have a vague understanding of The Foreigner, but it is ultimately too complicated for it's own good and has more plot and stupid dialogue than it knows what to do with. It attempts to cram so much into what is only a relatively short running time that it achieves very little other than being rather tedious. You are correct - it does bear passing similarities to Ronin and The Transporter in the fact that it's plot is based around a supposedly mysterious package, but unfortunately, the movie pales in comparison to the vastly superior Ronin and The Transporter.

ok, I don't feel so alone in my confusion then, I tend to be a bit distracted while watching him however, if you know what I mean...;)

Well TDWoj had a good review of it explaining it, I'm sure when she gets back she can find it for us ^_^
