I've got a question ... maybe someone knows and would like to enlighten me ... why did one of the captions say that it was an "unusual photo" of O'Sensei?

This is the earliest known photo of Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei taken c. 1904 when he was in the infantry during the Russo-Japanese War.


I know it is not clear but very interesting huh ??

Aikido Founder Morihei Ueshiba was taken in 1961 in Hawaii when the Founder was 77 years of age.O-Sensei in prayerful meditation perfect for dojo display.
