Saw a move I learned

I am new and I will try to make this brief.

I took Karate when I was 14 I got two belts. I learned alot and practiced the moves for 37 years. I always backed up and was defensive mostly unless I needed to attack.

I met a Master at a Chamber of Commerce Function. He was offering a free month and uniform to his Cutting Edge Studio.

I went over and took one class. I learned to move in and grab and trap the punch. Too trap the leg/kick. To offensively grab the finger and put the opponent down.

Well anyway, I was on my back and on my face at least 50 times. I decided it was better I quit after the first class. I learned alot about using what I know offensively and controling the confrontation.

Now, as promised, the move I learned was that we close our eyes and move our hands and forearms outward in circular moves thus stopping the opponent from getting to you. I saw "Him" in a movie use this move as a opponent was throwing punches he just kept His hands and forearms moving outward thus deflecting the oppents blows until He was able to attack.

I loved the one class I had I hated getting thrown on the mat 50 times to learn many of the moves I see in His movies.
