Seagal done making movies??

I don't see him stopping making films as long as he is offered them. Each movie means a huge paycheck for filming maybe three days in total. Why should he stop that? Seagal is not that dumb.

Given the ever dwindling budgets (that are usually over-inflated, at best) of his recent movies....I don't think the paychecks are as 'huge' as you think. Realistically, I'd be amazed if he was making 500k per movie?

Still a killer deal for three days of shooting with no rehearsals (which Seagal notoriously doesn't like to do).

Of course it is (and I'm not knocking him for it) but he was probably making around 4 times that amount around 10-15 years ago (in the same DTV market....using the same minimum effort) which may explain why he's now doing seminars, meet and greets, concerts and (last but not least) Russian envoy duties.....as a way of supplementing his lifestyle?

Personally, I wish he'd hurry up and make some more movies (irrespective of their budgets) whilst he's still 'mobile' :)

In a few months we get some info about the movie he filmed earlier this year in Romania (that's all I can say for now). We already have a thread for this movie....

OH yeah he filmed about two days on a small movie earlier this year, that'll go under the radar and no doubt be terrible on nearly every level. Wish he was making loads of movies like in the 2002 to 2010 period. I think he'll maybe film something next year, but just hope it's a more focused effort like Attrition was. He just needs someone... hell, his wife even, just say to him "look Steve, your movies in the last ten years are all crap and nobody watches them, put in the effort to make it as good as you possibly can, get more hands on like Sly does in his movies." But, whatever.

During promotion of "Attrition" he talked about writing a new Kung Fu movie, also didn't he recently asked fans on Facebook what location they would like to see on a potential "Under Siege 3" ?

So I guess he still would like to make movies, but probably can't find producers for his projects.
Sad to see that currently there is only one upcoming movie (where he probably isn't the lead actor).

I'm surprised that during his film festival visits this year, nobody asked him about his future projects.

Maybe he should look for more projects in Asia? I would like to see more movies like "Attrition".

Considering the current state of the film industry for DTV type movies, his age, and lessening popularity I have serious doubts Seagal will make any more films. He seems content living overseas in at least semi-retirement. Could be the end of the line.....

i agree with you sadly it seems unless you can find a producer like bruce willis has who will fund your low budget stuff your screwed also the people now working in seagals market is tough before he had van damme and dolph really

now he has willis, cage, gibson, even de niro does some dtv stuff

for me seagal should have took more support roles in the late 2000s and maybe he could carry on but has a leading man at 69 with a small fanbase now i think them days are gone i think attrition was maybe the last seagal led film we will see

Even though most of his latest films haven't been good, it would be sad if he stops making movies.
Maybe we should hope Mr. Waxman will make another movie with Seagal? I have a feeling if Seagal would make another movie it's most likely another one with Waxman.
As long as it's filmed either in the US or Asia and Seagal has a main role (or at least shares it with another actor, like they did in "Maximum Conviction" for example), I'm fine with it.

Also, really sad he never was in an "Expendables" movie, not even in a short cameo role. They just don't feel complete without Steven.

He said his reason why he will never be in Expendables. "I just (don’t) like some of the people involved. Life is too short to work with funny people."
