Whatever the "reason" for the old site's disappearance, it makes little difference to me (though I am curious like others). All that matters is that it was STEVE'S SITE, and he BLEW IT!! Did he himself close it?? Or, is he ignorant of what has occurred??
I don't care, because in the first scenario, he's a jerk who can't take honest criticism. And if the 2nd scenario is true (i.e., he's unaware of the situation) then he's a NEGLIGENT jerk who doesn't care much for his fans, who take the trouble to go online daily to honor him. Same difference...
I'll never return because his site, his moderators, therefore Steve himself have INSULTED me. Bye, bye... The best answer is an UNOFFICIAL SITE like Saint Craig's here (bless him)--run by fans for fans.

I'm speechless...We don't really know anything about anything regarding this mans life, so why talk about him as if we do? I can imagine that his life is full of concerns, and so what if he is or is not directly responsible for the boards closure...It's his board, regardless...Do you think he has insulted you somehow? Hi Lotus. I just wrote a very detailed reply to you, but WAS CUT OFF--THIS SERVER IS TIMED SO THAT IT EXPIRES AFTER A SHORT TIME. I hope Craig can fix it. I'm not typing it again, because this is the 3rd or 4th time it's happened to me, and I'm weary.
Anyway, to recap briefly, there's a LONG HISTORY of that old board being shut off. TWO MONTHS. We were lied to--"Board will return on blah, blah, blah."--"It's comin'; hang in there!!"

I know most of you are die hard Steven Seagal fans. I am too. But you have to understand that he probably is really busy. We cant expect that he might come on daily to post when he might not even be available. Movies,appearances, ect. I know my life is really hectic and i barley have time to keep up with day to day routines. So I cant imagine what he goes through everyday. His site will be up soon.. I know i quit going to the forum there because of all of the abuse. it got way to out of hand. So for whatever reason it is down. I do believe it will return. If he didnt have plans on updating it. I think he wouldve had the whole site taken down. We can only hope for an update soon. Have faith people. And Merry Christmas too all of you.

Metro has a point. Steven has ackknowledged us all ONCE in 2 years! Not much of a record. It would only take a minute to post so i will not make excuses on that front for him. None of us really know the man so we can only go by what we see. All i know is i like his movies and the way he carries himself. I have e mailed Jaime to ask if the old place is EVER returning as i told him it's a long time since Nov 15th...

Funny, it seems to me that Casey is one of the people who helped to hold this group together. I appreciate the time and effort she spends on keeping all of us up to date and together. The way I see it, you can be a part of the problem or the solution. Casey is definitely part of the solution. I like to come to a board where no one calls other people horrible names and talks about their kids. Casey does a great job here and I enjoy talking to her. If you have such a problem here Glenn, you should leave as fast as you can!!!

I find it extremely difficult to understand how one could say that they honor and respect Steven Seagal and in the next breath call him a jerk!

Storm, I agree that Steven has only "contacted" the SSMB Members once since that board first started! No, it is not a very good track record! But as Lotussan and Terryab have suggested, we don't know what is going on! As far as Steven is concerned,
"I" for one plan to wait and see! Yes, Steven does have a certain responsibility to us as his fans! But considering the fact that he is busy trying make movies and that he has had to deal with a stupid law suit from Nasso, the Feds and the shakedown attempt by Nasso and the mob, plus heaven only knows how many threat against him and possibly his family, I can't even start to imagine what this man must be going through right now!
But I can say one thing for sure, I would never, ever call him a jerk, even if I cared nothing about him at all!
I would hope that all of us would remember that this a Steven Seagal Fan Site! The word "fan" suggests that one admires and respects the star and would, should it be necessary, defend that star! Otherwise there is no use of us even being here!

She is disrespecting me--and anyone else who says I can't express my honest views here. Even though she thinly veils that censorship w/ "It's just my opinion" or "Everyone's entitled to their opinion."
Finally, if you carefully read the string of postings that led to Idaho barking at Casey, she INCREASINGLY began to antagonize him (e.g., "That was a SNIDE REMARK Idaho.") We can disagree without that stuff.. I for one always said Seagal is a man not a god.. I love his movies and as a person I think he is a man to be respected.. I will not stop being a fan if he does close his board, I won't like it but we have this board..

Thought I would add my two cents here...
I know I'm not a member of S.S.com board, but I read what was being posted.
I know that people are pretty upset & their patience are being tried with his web site being poorly neglected which is a bad way to treat his fans.
But those of you who choose to stick it out & stick with him no matter what, are at the moment using this forum & been getting along great!
Then the other day a member comes in & posts something that people don't like & words are exchanged,& I'm starting to see the same bad feelings that was on his message board.Sure people are going to take things said differently, but you gotta show patience & respect for others even when others don't always treat you the same.
So, rather than start the moderators here having to start editing & kicking people off-about I use the word "tact" & shut up my speech.
