Freddy vs Jason 2 Starts Next Year..

Lets hope that this is correct.Bring it on.I'll watch anything with Freddy & Jason in it :D

Freddy vs Jason 2 Starts Next Year.

moviesonline

We had a scooper in the know drop us a line to let us know that Freddy vs Jason 2 is going ahead. More importantly that David Koepp has been hired to write the screenplay. Dont know who he is? He wrote Spiderman and War of the Worlds. Needless to say we agree with our anonymous scooper that this is big news indeed.

So the word is that Freddy vs Jason 2 has a go ahead, David Koepp is writing the screen play and the movie is slated for early start sometime next year with pre-production. Its only a well informed all be it un-official source so stay tuned for more. In the past the scoops turned out to be quite accurate, lets see how this one pans out.

So how bout another cross matching of evil villains? Horror-Movies.ca posted a story about Freddy vs Jason vs Candy Man that had me chuckling. Here is an excerpt

Once again another spinoff coming straight from Robert Englund. It seems that Englund hasn't been kept up to date with the Halloween movies because he mentions bringing Jamie Lee Curtis back. Well since she's finally dead in the Halloween universe bringing her back would be the last thing that series should do. But what he goes on to say is what interests me.. Freddy vs Candyman.. Likely? No.. but it would be interesting..Englund says the other idea would pit razor-nails Freddy against bee-swarming' Candyman, played by Tony Todd.

"We’d really be able to open the door to surrealism, then. Whereas, if you use someone like Micheal Myers, he’s not that different. He has a different goal, but he’s not that different from Jason. But if you get someone like Candyman, now you really open the world to some surrealism in horror, and really go somewhere strange", he explains. "But it’s also that he operates on several planes, too, as opposed to Jason, who operates in reality and Freddy, who operates in dreams. So it would be interesting to play wth the Candyman, and the different planes he can operate on. Obviously, I would probably need Jason, because I already know how to work him like my puppet. But it would be interesting to see how they deal with each other. It would almost be, as opposed to strength against each other, it would be about who could out-fantasy each other one, psyche the other one out. They’d have to go after each other’s psychological flaws. That would have to be explored, which would be interesting. He could mentally torment Freddy. What’s left in Freddy – is there anything left in Freddy that can torment him, besides fire? We know now that he’s afraid of fire, but that’s about it"

Bloody Disgusting.

How is this for a f-cking cool movie! Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead) tells Kotaku in an interview, "...in the Fall I’m going to start a new film for Dark Horse comics, a cool company set in Portland, they’re making movies now. It’s an untitled Bruce Campbell movie where I play myself. It’s about a small town that is having problems with a monster and nothing’s working so somebody suggests let’s get the Evil Dead guy. Unfortunately, in reality I don’t own a gun, I’ve never used a chainsaw and more die then before I got there." For more on this, Evil Dead 4 and other things, click the link

BloodDisgusting.

Got a sweet, sweet scoop in my inbox this evening thanks to B-D reader MarkSP. He writes in regarding Freddy vs Jason 2 and more, "Not sure if you've already heard about this or anything but I got my Crystal Lake Memories book in the mail today and in the foreword by Sean S. Cunningham he says 'So it is with continued shock and amazement that I sit here twenty-five years later, in the middle of developing a sequel to 'Freddy vs. Jason' and a television series set in Crystal Lake.'...Happy Halloween!" Thanks to SJ Lohmann for the exact wording. Having just watched Freddy vs Jason this afternoon I can't say I'm not stoked! ...Read More
